Is it just me or is TOT getting very slow?

Haha Joz, i just did. Now I can gain a true sense of Richos frustration in trying to explain how the magnetic brakes work. Electromagnetisim was my fave are of study in unit 4 physics (Didn't even get full marks on the SAC :P), and now I am done with it I can see exactly what he was talking about....

Wow, weren't the old days fun. It's been about two or three years since I studied any physics or electrical engineering. Don't think I could pull off that same stuff again. At least not without dusting off the old textbooks. I don't believe that Tower of Terror does utilise load sensing. The ride will simply run faster when lighter. To my knowledge it wasn't introduced on any coasters until relatively recently. Most of the modern sled launch coasters (Intamin Rockets, S&S Thrust Airs) do it, using the strain on the cable as a gauge and select rides like Dueling Dragons use a floating section of track to weigh the train so as to synchronise the two tracks.
