  1. Yeah you'd definitely be starting that area from scratch, which I think would be the way to go anyway if you wanted to re-theme the area and open it up a bit more. As for Dreamworld, they're the two biggest plots of land left so both work for sure. There's also basing it in the former space of Blue Lagoon, although personally i'd love to see something like a custom RMC woodie start from there and use the land parcel north to essentially leave the park and go on a journey much like Rivals does. I also reckon the island is better served with a few open family rides (Mack splash barrels, Vekoma floating island, some new animal enclosures like otters etc.) so my vote is for the Log Ride space. Then again I feel like Log Ride should just be refurbished, thematically plussed and put back into service.... I've done a crude Photoshop to show how little land this takes up (and yep, I matched the scales to check, it's surprisingly small).

  2. Hi there all! Wanna give a small update to what's happening! More work is being done to assemble Little Nippers today. With works expected to be completed sometime next week. There is no signs of any other rides being assembled. Probably the next ride will be assembled when Little Nippers is done. In other news, the neighbour to LPS. The North Sydney Olympic Pool closed on Sunday (28/02/21) until late 2022. Construction has already started to rip most of the old infrastructure, while keeping the heritage. I'll also be doing updates on them too if you like! 😉 And maintenance works and checks on the rides are also happening today. Next update will be whenever I get there!

  3. I think Ardent will continue to own the park for the forseeable future primarily because they over-value the park and are asking too much. Right now the park isn't worth much more than the land value. If Ardent cuts its losses and sells for a reasonable price, a reasonable buyer can come in with money to burn. If they don't offload it, it will be death by a thousand cuts. taipan will be the last major investment, and the park will bleed to death. that's my optimistic view on things.

  4. I think the Dreamworks area is one of the best themed areas in the park, so loosing it would be a real shame. Will the movies were released quite a few years ago now, I think they’re still relevant. If they do renew the contract, they should definitely change the stage show. If they don’t renew it, I see the area just getting a generic theme overall. They’ll remove any Dreamworks references, but everything will remain the same

  5. I think that based on you're photoshop it would fit in really nicely in the old Log Ride area, but I also agree that the Log Ride should be replaced with another water based ride

  6. A few years ago I visited California's Great America and rode Flight Deck (Which has to be the shortest B&M Invert out there) which has a low swooping helix out over water and it was pretty cool as there was a corkscrew then small dive into the helix over water. POV below.

  7. I don’t think we will see any major investments (like Steel Taipan) for a while, but I expect we will see the refurb of ABC Kids World. Eventually they’ll have a replacement attraction for the log ride and they’ll void behind TailSpin. We also may see some investments into Corroboree once international tourism begins to arrive once again. The real main thing I want them to do is keeping making those minor improvements and keep on top of making the park looking good. I don’t want the park to return to how it was late 2000s early 2010s. There are certainly some focus areas right now that could help the parks overall appearance.

  8. Wow that’s a massive downtime for WWF and later than usual too. they usually work to have that open by late sept. Leaves a real hole in their attractions heading into summer

  9. From a quick Google that thing looks badass. I genuinely wouldn’t be mad at all if movie world (or even dreamworld) picked that up. I guarantee 99% of guest feedback would be “this is so smooth compared to lethal weapon and it was way funner!” Update - just did a quick Google and it seems like it would fit in that site really well. Little skinnier and longer but then might give more room to open up the space between Arkham and West for more attractions.
