  1. I think the most disappointing thing about this news is that @themagician missed an opportunity to title this thread: "Go Karts to become Stop Karts at Funfields"

  2. Amidst all the exciting news coming out of IAAPA today , we also have some news closer to home. The Monoply attraction in Melbourne, which had been delayed, is finally set to open today. Next time I am in Melbourne I will swing by and check this out. https://concreteplayground.com/sydney/travel-leisure/monopoly-dreams-melbourne-opening?fbclid=IwAR2mQuZTTosoRZnU3CyxU8NyhOFlNM4OvwENBJtP4r-E2Lu13iXKIGfDvq4 The attractions official website is here.

  3. It’s Village, though, so they’d only run the one train.

  4. I noticed on the Funfields park map that it states that the Go Karts are set to close in Feburary 2024. My assumption is they are being closed permantley and we could see new attractions built here in the future. However, do the go karts usually close earlier or maybe they are doing some work to them?

  5. The title describes the thing. Dreamworld has launched a new online Merch store. Shop from five different outlets in the park including the Main Street Emporium, Tiger Island Bazaar, Fairytale Treasures, and the Lego certified Store (though the lego store redirects to a different site, the remaining in-park outlets are all hosted on the same site). 6. If this was a Village park they'd be raving about having "Australia's only powered coaster that isn't portable"

  7. I, for one, would love a roller coaster extension from Movie World to Surfers.

  8. If any park needs light rail connection, it’s Sea World. The TX7 bus takes 10 mins tops to get you to straight from Helensvale station to Wet & Wild/Movie World, whereas the Sea World bus pinballs between 28 stops before reaching SW (including Harbour Town) & takes 45mins on a good day w/o congestion or unfortunate traffic lights. And G:link can already get you close, it’d just need a fork up The Spit to be viable.

  9. Trawling back looking for something else and came across this - and i'm wondering @joz whether now we have Atlantis open and Flume removed - is there another chapter to add on how the park is going?

  10. You're wrong. A Huss Topspin is a crap ride that is uncomfortable and provides no thrills. It doesn't belong at either park. Sea World should have brought back a classic Pirate Ship and added an Intamin Coaster Wheel (which provides both mild and wild gondolas) Movie World should get a Mondial Avalanche which looks crazy but is fairly tame. Something for people that want moderate thrills.
