@AdrianHallam 'DC Battle for Justice' sounds more intriguing and holds a bit more umph than DC Rivals Hypercoaster. @Tim Dasco And yeah good point Tim. I would have just preferred 'The Joker', seeing as there is a giant 2D Joker face crowning the lift hill.

@themeparkaddict As someone who also has to travel to get to the GC themeparks, I understand the disappointment when rides go down for maintenance after you book the flights/hotels ect. On the plus side though, if you go to Wet'n'Wild you get to ride the Tornado (which is essentially the Green Room). And the wedgie is a very uncomfortable slide experience, compared to WnW's Aqua Loops (you ain't missing out on much not being able to ride the wedgie). Supertubes is a bummer though.....probably the most unique slide at the park and my favourite.

Looking into capacity of the ride. Confirmed ride time is approx 170 sec or 2.8 minutes (from movieworld FB page. Someone asked, MW responded). From the teaser video, you can see each train holds 22 passengers. So if 2 trains are running, and you are loading train #2 whilst train #1 is in motion, you have approx. 3 mins to unload/load train #2 before #1 gets back. If you run the ride perfectly (without stacking) you could be sending a train out every 3 minutes. Therefore, 60/3mins = 20, 20*22 passengers = 440pph.

I'm still confused as to how they thought Suicide Squad was a great theme to begin with (even before the DW incident). I like this theme better compared to SS. It's the classic good vs. evil concept - superhero vs. supervillain rivalry - finishing with the Joker vs. Batman rivalry. Overall I like the theme - just not the name. It will be interesting how they pull off this theme.

This coaster's layout is stunning. Looks to have fantastic pacing and a great mixture of elements that ensure you get a good mix of speed, twistyness, g-forces, and of course airtime. No doubt this will be the best coaster in Aus. It's hard to create re-rideability on a coaster, as it essentially follows the same track everytime. Yes you can move around the train, to experience the different forces. But adding those backwards seats, just makes it even more re-rideable! Fantastic move by VRTPs! As for the name.....terrible. I don't understand VRTP's obsession with putting the word 'coaster' in the rollercoaster's name. e.g. Storm Coaster, Green Lantern Coaster, Jet Rescue Coaster, DC Rivals Hypercoaster. It's very unimaginative....why is it needed? Also, 80% of people will need to google "what is DC" after they are told (only) the name of the ride. If DC was involved, then perhaps they are sponsoring the ride? 'presented by DC comics'? Thus they wanted the DC name in the ride title?

^This one is significantly longer than the one at WnW Sydney. It's got an S-bend mammoth section, and also a double downward helix before the drop and wave element. Plus the slide finishes with a drop - which i would assume will give some good airtime. Very exciting news! As a melbournian I am elated to see a new player emerge. More competition in Vic will only see the betterment of the other parks here. Along with the new additions at both Funfields and Adventure Park - loads of new stuff to try this summer season in victoria. @Mark Shaw Is there a possibility that the Mammoth Plunge water slide from Seaworld will be making it's way to this new home in Victoria??

And that it is NOT a waterslide (someone asked for hints on what the ride is on FB - reply from Funfields was it is not a waterslide). Very cool! The positioning of that footer means there will be a support that bridges over the road. So as you arrive into the carpark, you will literally drive underneath a support holding up the first drop

As much as I don't want want you to be right, I think this will be the case. I think the station, queue and entrance will be presented nicely, rather than have an all encompassing immersive theme and storyline.

Take this with a grain of salt.....When I visited in March, an employee at the Sky Climb told me that the next attraction for Seaworld will be a Jellyfish exhibit and not a ride.

It would be cool if they alternated between the Movieworld Fence topper, and logos from the IP that are present in the park - e.g. Green Lantern logo, Movieworld Logo, Batman logo, Movieoworld Logo, Scooby Doo logo, and so on.

I visited DW & WWW on both Monday and Friday last week. Motocoaster, Green Room & Dorothy's teacups were down on both those days. Yesterday the BRO's octopus shade sail had been half ripped off - presumably because of the strong winds and rain on thursday. So that slide was closed as well yesterday. Not sure if the structure holding up the shade sail had been affected as well.

@xRazzBerryx I like this guess as well. The hypercoaster will be agile, graceful and acrobatic in it's movements - just like Catwoman. Saw this Catwoman mug at MW with a colour scheme somewhat similar to the coaster parts sitting in the carpark. Coincidence?

Visited today and Batwing Spaceshot is still down. The website does not state an updated maintenance schedule. My guess is that they are keeping it closed until the start of easter school holidays, when patronage picks up. Perhaps they thought they'd save a little $$$ and keep it closed till then. No one was working on it today.

Even with the grey supports, I still have my bets on a Lex Luthor theme. There is a lot of dark grey existing within the war suit as seen in @MaxxTheMonster's post above. Lex is a well known character, easily marketable and the hyper-coaster ride system suits the character profile.

@Brad2912 & @MaxxTheMonster, I have a feeling that you are both onto something big here! A huge steel rollercoaster themed around lex luthor - a super intelligent, scientist/mastermind inventor - seems about right to me. Magenta and shades of purples have been used to depict Lex in all different comics. Especially when he is in his War Suit. E.g. https://goo.gl/JplcV6 Perhaps we could be seeing green supports: Lex is Superman's archenemy; his true rival. It could be said that this new rollercoaster will be the only coaster in Australia to rival Superman Escape? Thoughts?

They've photoshopped the central column of Pandamonium (with the dragon wrapped around it) onto one of the claw's supports. Were they trying to make it look like the dragon is wrapped around one of the claw's support columns? It just looks incredibly tacky, and unnecessary.

^This! If the coaster is indeed themed to a superhero/villain IP, it must be an iconic, classic, much loved, easily recognisable and marketable character. It would be a shame to stuff this one up.

@YLFATEEKS Probably because Mako is also a hypercoaster (at 61m tall), and has purple track. 7 News tried to find footage of a coaster similar to what movieworld is getting?
