Ok - I realise it is temporary and all, but did we seriously need to use quick shades that have seen about 10 years of summer sun? Faded, patched, torn... could it have hurt them to go and buy a couple new ones from Extreme Marquees? They could have ordered any colour they wanted and pretty well got them off the shelf, or even had a custom white tiger print, or logo print, or any other bloody design they wanted with a few weeks lead time. Seriously - it looks like they've decided on the 'junkyard' theme... those marquees have no place 'onstage'

Good on you @Mark Shaw for recognising an issue causing problems for your guests and dealing with it, even if it proved an unpopular decision, rather than allowing it to continue. Unfortunately, many folks on here (myself included sometimes) forget the past when a new issue confronts them. We all see a product that previously offered unlimited rides on your new number one attraction all day, at the expense of others. Now, the same product doesn't offer that, and we want to whinge that it isn't as good as it was - but we forget about how often we've complained about how VRTP oversells night events so you can barely move \ experience every attraction they have. Banking the money and to hell with the guests! When I read this thread earlier today, I found myself siding with those who were disappointed the policy had changed, but given how much praise we've had for you, and for AW in the past 12-18 months, as well as how reactive (and proactive) you have been to the little things, I felt there was more to the story... so I refrained from commenting until I heard your explaination (you know - the one that you don't owe any of us, but still give because you care)... and now I understand perfectly. It's a shame the system is abused as it is. A couple of years ago I visited Magic Mountain. I had one day in the park, I knew it's reputation (and had visited before) so I booked their premium fastpass experience. top of the line, all the upgrades etc - over $300 for three people... They even made me pay EXTRA to include the rides that the park considered to be a premium (X2 and Lex Luthor Drop of Doom) at $15 per person, per attraction, and then, I only got ONE ride on each. I still considered that to be perfectly fair. I think the only reason why this is being perceived as unfair is because it's a mid season change - but this is precisely why we appreciate your input, opinion and observations. You listen to us enthusiasts, you react to them. You mow. You resurface a path. you install all sorts of aides and provide all sorts of extra services when you could have said ' to hell with it' and kept raking in the cash. In my opinion, the only other thing I would do with your fastpass queue is to slow down how fast you load from it - ie: take a full raft once every 5 slides. Regardless of how busy \ quiet it is, from the time the first person arrives at the fastpass queue, wait five rafts until you load them. then another 5 rafts before you take the next lot. It is still a heck of a lot faster than queueing in the standby queue, it's how Disney does it too, and unless you promise people they'll be loaded immediately, they won't mind a short (2-3 minute) wait as opposed to the 40 minute queue everyone else is standing in. Please keep up the good work. -

i haven't been yet, but i'm confident I like the alcohol. Couldn't this discussion be had in the existing discussion regarding the attraction? -

highly unlikely unless the rest of VRTP is going to fold, and given the recent revelations of their plans for accomodation options to be built around it, I predict you're incorrect. Whether or not you're being genuine, or just being a dick again waits to be seen. The unfortunate thing for you is that regardless of what you do now, you're always going to be judged based on your previous behavior. You're going to have to do a lot of work to rectify your past errors... starting with LEFT ALIGN TEXT. I wouldn't suggest creating a new profile - others have done that, and they are always caught out down the line. -
Warner. Brothers. Classics... & the great gremlin adventure. Anything out of the catalogue \ film vault was suitable... beetlejuice and gremlins are both in there... Gizmo used to be a regular character in the park, as was beetlejuice. The park opened in 1991. Beetlejuice premiered in 88 and Gremlins 2 in 1990. Both were extremely current and popular to the guests of the day. its the perfect mix.

"I don't remember it, but in my opinion, it was better than this other thing i remember well that still exists."... come on push - seriously... your opinion is permitted - but surely you're not going to start having opinions on things that you don't even remember... It was actually "Warner Bros. Classics & Great Gremlin Adventure" so the ride wasn't solely a 'gremlins' experience, and featured other WB characters... which I find interesting because WB published BeetleJuice, but I distinctly remember the character at USH...

The next ride to be installed is clearly going into boot hill, between showstage, scooby and intencity, judging by the construction. As I mentioned (and elaborated on by Reanimated) they took care with the showstage - the panels behind the facades probably never existed and will be the only reason why they appear to be missing.
-
What makes you say that? the way the facades have been taken down, it looks like they've taken great pains to leave showstage intact. I'd say the area is due to get a new theme to fit the new ride, so the western facades had to go, and we'll most likely see new facades appear that fit the theme of the new ride. Dare I say - but hopefully the new theme gives them an idea for a new show they can install into the showstage also, so the 'land' won't become another WWF with one attraction for the entire land...

If the park (and the pool) were as crowded as you say, I would be prepared to give the lifeguard the benefit of the doubt on the E-stop. People duck dive and ass-clown around in there a lot. If there are so many people in the pool the lifeguards don't have the time to wait to see if they're joking, they may be more cautious. Nobody wants to have a drowning when they are responsible for it, so erring on the side of caution can't be faulted. I've seen the pool E-stop several times in a row for that very reason - bunch of ass clowns ruining it for everybody.

Yes I believe the Dolphins and Seals used to share the same arena - and the show combined both animals. I think I have some old photos from that show somewhere around - i'll see if i can dig them out.

Joz, why are you harassing WWW Worker for? Why can't we all just get along? Kum-Ba-Yah... an all that. -
at it's peak, it was. now, lacking multiple trains on most days, and single person operation, with manually controlled station gates requiring the driver to walk the length of the platform and back at every station, the capacity is far lower than you'd think. Additionally - lacking air conditioning means it's a furnace during the peak season - when it's truly required. I boarded the monorail around 3pm in April a few years back after my wedding for the trip from the resort to mid-station. By the time we got off we were pouring sweat. I can't imagine it in summer.

What a crappy topic for a dissertation. What makes you go to McDonald's every day instead of having KFC or Oporto or Nandos or Hungry Jacks? Everyone has something different. If you like the variety, why wouldn't you do them all and change it up a bit? Nobody likes a big mac everyday - even if they serve your fries in a little metal basket, and you can order without having to repeat it to the 16 year old child 4 times, and have it brought to your table - it's still just a big mac. Sometimes you want a whopper instead.
