  1. I would guess the difference between a ride such as TOT is that it pulls those kind of g-loads only on launch and braking. For a ride such as Cyclone or Lethal Weapon the majority of the higher g-forces are felt throughout the various elements of the ride (loops etc). There would be a safety issue with "normal" (circuit style coasters) generating too much of a g-load on its trains and riders as if the experience is too intense you run the risk of injuring passengers and trains flying off tracks (in exterme cases) because the forces felt are not always caused by acceleration or braking, there is sideways and sudden up and down action happening. these effect the body differently and the body can sustain safely different amounts of g-load depending on which direction the force is apon your body...the same as in a car accident your at greatest risk of injury head on...if you had the same impact facing backwards yoru body can handle it better and youd have a better chance of being less injured or less dead With TOT as i said before the maximum g-loads are felt on launch and braking...im sure for anyone who has ridden tot you would have been told to keep yout head against head rest. This obviously would be to minmize the risk of hurting peoples necks and banging heads on the seat if your holding your head forward.
  2. yeah but they wear g-suits dont forget... the typical human can only withstand around 4-6 g for a few seconds (with no g-suit) before you black out.... i have no idea what the harmful range is for humans but it wouldnt be much more then that id guess. your neck would be most at risk of injury (same as in car accidents) I did read somewhere that its been tested that humans can withstand without serious injury, a loading of 50g if they are propperly supported and face an impact backwards. if anyone on this site wants to go test if that information is correct....be my guest UPDATE TO POST: Ive just been informed that: 1 for a trained pilot using a g-suit the typical g-loading range is +7-7.5g 2 a person will blackout at a g-loading of +2 during deaceleration where you are facing forwards or if a person is accelerated head first (ie lying down) 3 a person can withstand around 10g of forward facing acceleration for a few seconds.. mmm pretty interesting
  3. HAHA ive never seen any of that before
  4. The first coaster i built in No Limits was just an experiment too see how high and fast i could get things to go. I named it "Death", which if you every rode it probably would be a fitting name as it origionally pulled about 15g around one corner hehe
  5. Yeah gazza i thought exactly the same thing when alex put that up there.
  6. Well each has its advantages and disadvantages However for me the prize goes to demon I found cyclone to be relatively thrill-less compared to demon. The first drop dosent even make your guts turn, and the rest of the ride is only banked curves. I think the best element on the ride was the steep banked turn before the 2 inversions. Even tho it was by far longer in length i found it to be over really no sooner then it started and i was left with a feeling of "is that it"? Basicly my view of the ride can be summed up of how many times i rode it during my last visit to DW. We were there 2 days in a row, and i think rode it only once each day. Compared to say TOT which we rode 3 times the first and 4 the second. Demon had an amazing first drop. Ill never forget my first ride one it...I can still remember sitting there holding on for my life as we got lifted backwards up the lift hill. And when it let go, that amazing feeling of your guts trying to escape your body. Unless you know the ride well when your sitting there you literally have no idea how much higher its going to go or when you will be released for the ride to start. The rest of the ride for me was just as good, fast inversions which made your head spin (especially the vertical loop going backwards). Basicly i think that demon was by far a more intense ride, which simply is what im looking for in a ride. If it dosent thrill me then i figure whats the point....Sure demon was a bit run down, needed new paint and blah blah blah blah...but i still say if i had the money i would have bought demon a block of land and put it up all for myself.
  7. Nah i dunno about that bussy probaby wouldnt take all that long to knock it down. I dare say a lot of the lower sections will just be run thru with a bulldozer. Its only the higher sections that cause a problem. id say theyd just go round and chainsaw thru a number of the supports at ground level and knock it over with a crane or something like that...i mean its not a big building or anything, and has relatively little structure compared to a lot of things.
  8. You must have spent ages filling in all that space tree by tree. No wonder it took so long for you to finish it hehe
  9. I have heard that something like2/3 of DW's customers are from out of state (nsw etc) so that could have somthing to do with it....assuming of course that this information is actually correct
  10. Id love to sit there and watch them knock down bushbeast. Not that i want to see it go tho. Just be interesting to see it all come down
  11. im guessing this will be a free download for anyone that has the game???
  12. stuf a duck mate did ya have to put so many trees in it? uhhh its sooo slow is there any way to play it in sandbox mode so you can actually delete most of the trees...the way it is at the moment you only have 50 grand which is no where near enough to get rid of them
  13. yeah well said alex... it would appear that a lot of people on this website do nothing other then complain about the rides, parks and other peoples comments in the forums. Dont get me wrong criticism has its place, but only when its actually called for! I joined this site early this year and can honestly think of 2 or 3 other members that have never placed a positive comment (not mentioning any names) Guys get a life...Surely you have better things to be doing other then constantly bagging out other members who dont hold the same ideals as you. Everyone is a little different, if they wernt the world would be very boring. As my mum used to say, "if you dont have anyting nice to say then dont say anything"...Sound advice mum!!
  14. what a waste to make a carpark out of that. surely the existing carpark is big enough and or they can build a specific staf carpark somewhere else if its needed. my thoughts would be why not keep that space to extend the ocean parade, or create an whole new themed area from behind what used to be the thunderbold station.
  15. some people have too much time on their hands i think.. cool pic tho
  16. how bout you just burn some cds then and save the trouble...im sure a lot of people along with myself would be happy to give you a few $$ for them
  17. mmm attitude yay!! looks like we have soooo much to look forward to
  18. just convert them to mp3 man eazy peezy!
  19. hey pat why not post the game file instead of screenshots...
  20. your complaining about the word "mate" and what country do you come from??? besides as far as i know "slang" isnt against the rules. compared to say "foul language" or insinuated foul language whis isnt allowed (ie filling in the missing letters of words with "#*&%##") if your gunna complain about supposed slang such as 'mate', then you really need to be consistant which will include having a go at almost everyone on this site!! i think we are ALL guilty of describing a themepark, or ride experience as things like: cool, awesome, filth, excellent, dodgy, or the one that everyones used to describe the bushbeast "rough as guts" For goodness sake lighten up dude. this is supposed to be a FUN site. (or should i call you by your real name, given that calling you dude would be "slang")
  21. funny as it may seem a "top hat" actually kinda looks a simmilar shape to a tophat youd see someone wearing....kinda like a cork screw looks like a cork screw - where do they make up these crazy names??
  22. Yeah get a pic of the demon if possible
