I most certainly hope they don't do anymore makeovers in their current financial situation @Skeeta After the "spectacular" effort on SDSC I would much rather they leave our beloved rides alone with just essential maintenance only, at least until such time they can get their priorities in order.

Original, you are referring to the 'Serpent Slayer' show that ran the Xmas Season that Bermuda Triangle was delayed. For a night show, at the time it ticked all the right boxes. Lots of Pyros, Fire, music, live action on the Lake and Lasers. For a cheap inspiration of Disnelyand's Fantasmic! it was actually pretty bloody good! Shame about the dreadful Martin Mowlam narrative, for those out there old enough to get me😊 I liked SS but personally thought we did a better job with Illuminanza and the latter Batman Live shows at MW. Some had the best Fireworks displays ever seen in a GC Theme Park.

Thanks for the pics and video! A timely reminder to any local passholder to avoid these places right now! WWF being closed at the moment is pretty piss poor. Its still hot on the Coast and with Crowds like this, they need to be aiming for all rides open. Especially with having GL down. But given Village no longer regard DW as true competition, they only have themselves to be held accountable.

Cheap if you are eating in sushi bars and sleeping in capsules most of the time. Even basic accommodation that can barely squeeze 2.5 is at least 250/300 a night. And that is in somewhere like Shinjuku- miles away from Tokyo Bay. Let's face it. If you are going to Japan to Disney with Children you need to be close to the doorstep if you have any hope of experiencing some of the best attractions without having to wait hours at a time.. yeah, sounds like the perfect Holiday with small children to me🤔

This might just be the "outside of the box" thinking DW needs right now but money aside, DW needs a solid plan (short/mid/long term). They haven't been able to commit to anything in Christ knows how long and having a solid direction and delivering on the timeline is vital in getting them out of their current shitstorm. - Get SV open and KEEP IT OPEN. - Get a temporary Ride like a KMG in the old Wipeout spot STAT and keep it there until something more permanent can be sourced. - get the Koala wildlife thing open as quickly as possible. Animals at DW are one of the Park's best assets and the only part that is actually ran properly. - Red flag any rides that continue threatening reliable Operation and spend/invest where worthwhile (ToT) and ditch where not (Buzzsaw, log ride) - keep everything else running and invest the right amount of money in what is worth keeping. - Build that kick arse new Coaster.

I dunno joz probably because a Holiday with a 4 year old is likely more about what the Parent's want to get out of it.

Japan Disney (And Universal) is no good with kids. WAAAAAAAAY TOO crowded. Not to mention stupidly expensive to stay close by the DL resort. Longest wait times of any Disney or Universal Park anywhere. The quality is amazing, sure but not worth the wait. Especially with kids. With nothing new at USS since Transformers and Sesame st (and still won't be for years to come) Hong Kong seems like a pretty obvious choice. The new Antman ride looks pretty good with lots more on the way plus you have Ocean Park down the road.

Snazzy! A Super Nintendo World expansion is a logical choice for USS. But it is a shame that all of this expansion will have to come at the cost of "byebye!" to FarFar Away and the Waterworld Stunt Show Area, -given the Park has literally no wiggle room to look anywhere else.

In that case unsurprisingly, I don't know anybody that eats Popcorn or Fairy Floss or Soft Drink at DW. .

I'm fine for Travelling rides to fill a void in a Park while something better is in the works. So long as it is in perfect shape and can be integrated well into the landscape, much as SW has done. Long term however, SW absolutely needs a Giant, permanent version of one of these rides, that would compliment the popular seaside amusement Park vista coming end of next year. DW really should take note and only need look to their own passed with this too. Right now they need to fill gaps in their line up, while getting SV ready and other rides fixed, put in some travelling temps (like a KMG in the former Wipeout spot) that would absolutely help right now. Affordably so too.

So what/how much more is it going to take to get SV open? (Is the 25 million dollar question!) This is turning out to be one Damn expensive Flying Theatre. Maybe they should have put it at Southbank. At least it would have been open by now.

...Considering so much of the ride was re-built not that long ago, couldn't it have been sold rather than just destroyed?

This was actually a very early days idea for MW, believe it or not and the Theme toyed around at the time was the movie "Towering Inferno". By early days I mean BATR (early 90's) This ride experience was a tonne of fun. Felt more like a ride on the 'Zipper' with the Cage like cars and how you wound up on your back before being swung back down after reaching the end of the run out. I experienced the one at 6 Flags Magic Mountain and from memory it was a super Popular ride with long lines. The freefall experience was quite terrifying. I would dearly love to see Intamin bring back this experience with a modern day look and feel.

Maybe they should keep their drains clear of leaves.

Agree with Gaza's RMC ( for SW) as part of a Pier Amusement area and a motion base dark ride for MW in the kid's area/ old LTRR building.

If you were to believe the Spin of DW's Marketing department, sure why not.

Nope. I believe the issues are with the Building/Structure that houses the ride, I am sure the ride itself is fine. The main reason for the delay is DW are still trying to figure out how to fit cages over the top of the Gondolas and adding safety "nooses" to slip around the necks of Rider's and keep them from falling out of the seats. It's all part of DW being Industry leaders in Safety!

So they talk the best part of a year to refurbish this ride and still couldn't get the Audio to work? Amazing.
