  1. I think it's a perfectly valid "theme park discussion topic". Many people that work for VRTP are not happy with things unions could help advocate for, all of us ethusiests that visit could not without the large number of employees.
  2. I think this video was better than the first, didn't think the Star Tour mention was that out of place. I felt it more emphasised the stairs are there for a reason and perfectly safe.
  3. I have a fair few shirts that I hardly ever wear. Sometimes the park polo shirts get a workout when visiting the parks and special event shirts during the relevant events. Here are some of my mugs/ceramics. Favourite is the wooden DW (recent acquisition) and the Police Academy.
  4. Worth noting the 2018 VIP Pass is now available, $99.99 direct from ThemeParks.com.au Dreamworld is also offering a 5 day sale on their summer season pass at $64 Adults and $44 Children/Pensioners for entry until Dec 24 2017.
  5. If you get the use out of it, sure. May be worth waiting for the next refresh now. My personal favourite items on HB are the Salmon Bagel from Main St Deli @ MW and Seafood Basket from the top terrace @ SW.
  6. It will be happening on the GC properties, they confirmed it on Facebook when a few people have asked.
  7. It is a great commercial, behind the scenes is worth a watch too. Really love what Dreamworld are doing right now, especially the new imagery.
  8. . Obviously staff are not stupid and knew, hence the offical "announcement" amongst other information a few weeks ago was superfluous.
  9. Considering they only told general staff it was a hyper coaster a few weeks ago I doubt they know much unless they are directly involved in the project.
  10. Worth noting Cub Kindy currently has temporary fencing around the enclosure
  11. Worth noting although not worth of its own topic, Dreamworld is offering "7 days for the price of one" to encourage visitation. $65 Adults and $55 kids, even cheaper if purchased through an entertainment book sub.
  12. Certainly not, Bermuda holds a special place in my heart as one of my favourite rides of all time. When he was new he did startle me once on the way to the bathroom however.... What memorabilia do you own @Slick?
  13. Holy thread resurrection batman! Thought I would share my latest acquisition (Bermuda Shot Glass) along with some other theme park shot glasses and my Bermuda Alien.
  14. @Slick I have the page bookmarked and it led to a 404 earlier today but I should have tried it again before posting, fair point. I do not think this proves the ride is not open however, for awhile that page stated TI shows were at 3:00PM and considering the circumstances I would not be surprised if it simply was not updated yet.
  15. Worth noting that the "whats open" page on Dreamworld.com.au was removed yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me to see them announce it tomorrow or perhaps not at all as it is less than a week before it closes for maintenance.
  16. ^ I would agree, and I personally think Imagine was a better show than Affinity.
  17. @themagician Sorry wasn't clear, I knew it was testing I meant in terms of it being open before maintenance but testing is obviously a great sign. @Aimsley81 That matches what I heard
  18. I am hoping given it's location this new outlet is open until park close. After 2:00PM in off peak Dough Bros is often all that is open.
  19. A ride op did tell me that will be the case the other day, as is the general rule I shall believe it when I see it.
  20. Great to see minor works and refurbishments to keep the parks looking their best. New additions Also the full list for MW appears to be listed now too.
  21. I cannot agree with this more, despite identifying an issue with the Lego movie and piracy being linked with the films later release in Australia they are doing the same with Lego Batman. Having visited WNWS recently I was shocked to find no water fountains, something very simple and I'm sure something feedback would have been provided on early on, as a whole VRTP are not receptive to feedback. Regarding Dreamworld I feel the same, as someone else mentioned on the forums it would have been great to see someone from VRTP at the reopening in a official capacity. This isn't new though, when the "Australia's Theme Park Capital" campign happend Dreamworld showed the posters prominently and staff wore badges. This was not the case at VRTP and I think I saw one single poster at MW. I heard from an unreliable source that senior VRTP staff did visit Dreamworld quietly during their extended trade to see the expanded entertainment. If true I hope they observed the difference in operations and took some lessons back.
  22. ^ Ticket prices at Dreamworld have remained lower due to low numbers moreso than rides not operating. The original plan was apparently for prices to rise closer to normal once the Big 9 were up. Ride Express has also just started being offered again. It's hard to offer advice without knowing your exact interests, I recommend visiting DW for an all round experience especially if you are time poor, if you have the time I would recommend MW and SW too with the understanding SW is currently operating with one adult ride, MW is still home to the best coasters. I would highly recommend visiting AOS too, cheapest tickets are on Groupon last I checked.
