  1. They should put a movie experince display themed to Batman in the chinatown theatre - display the Batmobiles that they already have and add a couple of replica props/costumes from the movies, It would be good to see movie world return to the movie magic side of things, plus it would bring a bit more life to that area of the park
  2. I think they should just play the actual movie during the queue or at least the Spooky Coaster scenes so guests can a see a lot the props that in the movie that will appear on the ride, I suspect they can't just play whole movie though due to "public broadcast infringments"
  3. Perhaps the "Storm Coaster" won't utilise the indoor section from the Bermuda Triangle and this will be a river cruise inside the showstage??
  4. Has anyone experienced Arkham Asylum with the onbaord audio yet? If so what is it like?
  5. Did you take any pics or videos of the area? and how do the two different intensity versions of Pandamonium work?
  6. Kung Fu Panda Land is now open - ahead of its official opening this Friday, would be pretty busy I imagine as the first weekday of the summer school holidays.
  7. Yes I know Warner Bros. doesn't own the Park. It is owned and operated by Village Roadshow (which is in very close partnership with Warner Bros.) and yes the Superhero rides in the park are all themed to the Comic books and not the films (except for Arkham Asylum - which is themed to the video game), It is mainly due to royalties. Warner Bros. owns the rights to both the film and Comic versions of all DC Hereos - as they own DC Comics. However it is much cheaper for example to theme the ride to Green Lantern Comics as apposed to the film as there are less royalties involved - for example they do not have to pay the actor - Ryan Reynolds for usining his "likeness" in the park. A simular thing happed to Disney with Amy Adams - the princess Gisselle (from Enchanted) no longer appears at the Disney Parks or on any merchandise as the Actor who originally portrayed her (Amy Adams) would have to receive payment everytime she did appear.
  8. You won't be seeing any Harry Potter themed rides any-time soon, Yes WB owns the rights to the film elements of Harry Potter, but JK Rowling still has a major say in what happens. Besides Universal Studios would have a exclusive rights to to Harry Potter Themepark attractions (yes we have a Harry Potter shop at MW, but thats really only by name). I think they should keep it as it was, a dark water ride- just with an new storyline and updated anamatronics.
  9. Village Roadshow is actually said to be paying over $7 million to upgrade the roads around the Wet 'n' Wild Sydeny site itself.
  10. Thrill Zone just posted this on there Facebook page. Looks pretty cool, perhaps a lot of people are still having trouble finding the ride enterance?? Also nice to see the added themeing to the Superman pillars, and the Hydrant etc.
  11. I really think they will just run the intesity levels on alternating cycles, it will cause no confusion when entering the cars - as only one group will be admitted at a time, so there will be no chance of getting in the wrong one.
  12. I'd say would they would run on a 50/50 split - or just do consecutive cycles on alternating intensities, one round with all arms on "insane" and the next round with all arms on "not so crazy"
  13. I never said they were the wolves - I said they look like the wolves to me - Which at the time was the closest thing I could think of from the flm series, and was my own opinion and therefore could not be right or wrong, although you so nicely as community leader said "Fail. They look nothing alike." While not being constructive and offering your own input, or better idea. and Yes there is a difference between Chinese Lion and Dragon Dances - But most people will just refer to both as "Dragon", but does is really matter what Dreamworld calls them?
  14. So who said these are the ride vehicles for the new Zamperla Air Race anyway? Dreamworld only said that the picture is a sneak peak of the new land - not necessarily the new ride this thread is focussed on, perhaps as someone else has mentioned these ride vehicles could be for the retheme of the "Bumper Beach" dodgem cars? (Assuming the dodgems are returning)
  15. Thats what I intitially pictured - A Po Figure standing in the centre with these "Wolf" heads "flying" around him, as if they are fighting,
  16. Its the closest thing I can think of from the film series - otherwise I'd say the Hyenna from Lion King
  17. look like the "wolf" villians from the second film to me :
  18. Some people on these boards are just plain rude! I simply posted information I found regarding this new attraction. I never stated that I whether thought it was true or not - hence the reason I included the less than reliable source of the information. Mature people would have used the post to perhaps discuss the possibility of the name. I think that although the source of the name is a little dodgy the name "Panda-monium" would be fitting to such an attraction.
  19. I was just reading through some of the comments on the photo Dreamworld posted on Facebook and one kid says that his father works at Dreamworld and that the new ride is to be called "Panda-monium"
  20. I was just browsing over Nearmaps looking at Moviworld/Wet 'n' Wild and noticed that the estate next to WnW has all the street named after Hollywood/Entertainment related themes - [*]Studio Drive [*]Village Way [*]Accademy Street [*]Illusion Ct. [*]Drama St [*]Script St [*]Broadway Dr [*]Universal St. [*]Paramount Pl [*]Columbia Ct [*]Theatre st [*]Camera St [*]Hollywood Pl [*]Chaplin Cr [*]Monroe Crt [*]Artists Ave [*]Metro Cr [*]Goldwyn Way [*]Oscar Court [*]Musical Crt [*]Adventure Ave [*]Epic St
  21. http://micechat.com/14291-australia-movieworld-fright-nights/ A quick overview of fright nights with a picture of the map and areial view of the walking dead maze
  22. Its funny how on the flyover most of the guests are walking around wearing business attire - Suits, vests, skirts etc.
  23. They would never allow scare actors (or anyone) in that area while the ride is in motion, its basic health and safety to ensure the "ride path" is clear during operation.
  24. So where does the ride actually exit from / to ? Because isn't the old exit part of the green lantern queue?
