  1. There must be a lot more leaves than they expected in the Log Ride 😉
  2. The reason for the delay is because of the large amount of leaves and dirt that have ended up in the water, after not being turned on for so long.
  3. Rocky hollow log ride is having its resovour filled and testing should begin shortly. After this it will confirm whether the ride will be reopening this Thursday or soon after.
  4. @Aimsley81 could you share the link so I can provide some feedback to please
  5. Sorry @AlexB but I’ll have to correct you there. This map isn’t from 2015, as the Dreamworks Experience isn’t on that map, Nickelodeon Central is, which hasn’t been at the park since 2011. And the helicopter flights are still shown on the map too, so this map could be as old as 2009. EDIT: Just did some research and the areas were combined and names changed in September 2011 when the BuzzSaw opened.
  6. Went to WC last night for the first time in a couple of years and overall it was an enjoyable night. Can confirm that last night they did the turning on the lights at 7pm, and before that none of them were on and it was just some coloured spot lights. I will start out with saying that it did feel like there was some budget cuts this year, and some elements weren't as dramatic. They didnt have the fairy fly down Main Street to spread her Christmas magic, the turning on the lights was just a button that Santa pushed (Feel like it spoilt it because Santa really has only been seen at the end of the night) and not that large lever that the elves pulled, and there didnt seem to be as much 'snow' this year either. There was also a fault with some of the fairy lights hanging from the roof, so half of them weren't actually working (But that didnt dramatically change anything). And that poor Ginger Bread Man with the pole up his ass, surely they could've just had one extra staff member be in costume, it looked really creepy and awkward (Come on Movie World). Also, the rides had all trains operating, but the lack of staff definitely slowed down processes (Particularly with Scooby, which had one staff member running the whole station). Positives though. As always it was a magical night and the energy the majority of the staff have is great, especially the elves and characters. There were a few more street entertainers this year too, which was really good to see. Having Santas Village in the western area is really good, but once the crowds really kicked in, the area became very tight and way to busy to move. The music throughout the night was good as always, and the parade was mostly good (except for the points I made earlier). And it was good to see that they have moved the screen so it doesnt block the SE sign This year was definitely still enjoyable, but it felt like there were budget cuts and I feel like they need to invest into the event and create some new floats for the parade. Once again I feel like the money invested into Rivals definitely effected this years events at the park, which is a shame. Scrolling through comments on FB for people that went for the first time this year definitely loved it, while re-visitors are giving mixed reviews. But as we know, this event really is all about the kids, and they all seemed to be having a great time and amazed by everything that happened, which is what matters. I personally though, would only give this years event a 6/10.
  7. Went on SDSC last night and there have been some changes made during its maintenance period. Firstly, the hallway has had a repaint so there is no longer or the vandalism people have made: The main hall area has had a major dust and some touch ups too. The biggest change was the queue, as Fast Track has been moved. The FT used to go to the right, but now goes left, runs around the edge of the hall and up the left of the hallway, so now guests queue on the right. The station has been modified slightly to accomodate this change, so now the FT queue leads right to the loading area, rather that right next to the standard queue.
  8. Had confirmation from DW that the Wipeout is definitely opening on Boxing Day, providing the weather remains good. Fingers crossed.
  9. Riding Rivals last night at WC I could see the progress of TG. Half off the driving range has had concrete poured across the land, while the other half has had the holes dug for the targets, with preparations being made for the concrete pour.
  10. The map has shown the Rocky Hollow area for years and combined the name quite a while ago. For ages people were still referring to the area as Rocky Hollow, when it actually wasn’t officially Called that
  11. The turnstiles at the entrance have no completely gone. Matt Hollywood was there today performing magic on Main Street. Plus more characters appearances throughout (Including police and asylum security)
  12. That’s good to hear they’ve got them working before the real busy period kicks in. @Gazza your video didn’t work though
  13. Everything else I’d say is achievable, but I’m not sure about the DW and Aussie World. It’s about an 90 - 120 minute drive between them (providing traffic is good). And DW is a massive park that you could spend all day at. Obviously dependant in queues and maintenance, but id say you’d only get until lunch time there before you’d have to leave. SW and WNW is also ambitious, unless you aren’t bothered about the shows at SW and just want to go on the rides and walk around the park, then you’d be able to.
  14. But this year they’ve changed Carnivale and they are having the Aquacolour Lightsbkw in the SW lake. With colour, water and fire effects.
  15. If DW don’t do it this year, you may have to go to SW instead for Carnivale
  16. Both shows haven’t begun until Boxing Day and have gone until mid January
