  2. One thing also is that if it was just the walls that were the issue, then most of the animatronics and certain theming elements may still be okay, and can be put back in place once the walls are reconstructed.
  3. I'd like to think that MW is well past the times of doing things half assed like that, especially after all the effort they've gone to this year to bring the park up to scratch.
  4. If the reason for taking it all out is in regards to health and safety, and a potential fire hazard, they can't take the risk and just wait for the new theming before ripping it out. Otherwise they would have to keep the ride closed until it all arrived, if some has been ordered. I do hope they keep it themed to Scooby Doo, and this allows them to update the theming inside and animatronics. It is a great ride and hate to see it make a turn for the worst. Before I have faith in MW that they will bring the ride back to its former glory. I also hope they have a sign out the front of the ride saying something along the lines of 'This ride is currently going under a refurbishment, resulting in the removal of a number of elements and theming inside the ride. We apologise for any inconvenience'
  5. @reanimated35 the person that sent you those photos, did they say anything about the theming in the queue area, station, or end scene after the wild mouse area, and whether the theming had been removed from them or not?
  6. That is crazy, and never would have expected them do such a thing. But this is definitely just had timing. If it was a fire hazard, or some major issues, then of course they'd need to remove it all. At least this could hopefully lead to the rides major refurbishment next year. And they did need to open it for the Christmas period, with DD closed as well. But still sad to see the ride like this.
  7. I agree, but they've did have the zip line, and have got the sky coaster, which could be said not to fit WNW. I think this is a great addition for the park, and seems like it would be tonnes of fun.

  9. Came across this one on YouTube. This isn't the one played in the queue line, but only behind the scene footage that I've found that's online.
  10. My mistake, get a couple of them mixed up at times (And misheard them in the video)
  11. Here's a good video showing the afternoon presentation at Tiger Island. At times you can see on the big screen using the cameras positioned throughout the island, particularly when Kai climbs the post. Great presentation from DW.
  12. So we've gone from 1 weeks maintence, to 3 months. That sucks, but if the ride isn't up to scratch then it's got to be done
  13. I can't remember all the details about this Precinct that we have said about (i know nothing major has been announced), but from that info saying that (whether it is true or not, considering it's from Wikipedia)the coaster is in the lake side Precinct, maybe it means the Precinct will be an actual part of MW and is a new area for the park, rather than a direct link to the planned hotel. Just speaking my mind here, so just what i was thinking from that info.
  14. Awesome news. Suppose when you think about it, if they waited to open this or opened it now, it wouldn't matter if you could see river rapids or not, because it's not like it was going to be removed before they opened the ride.
  15. Sneak Peek at the Fire Machine Show https://www.facebook.com/dreamworld/videos/10154276852693613/
  16. @Santa07 no nothing in regards to TOT yet. Just seen movement from GD and BuzzSaw
  17. There hasn't been much happening this week @downunder. There has been a bit of earth moving, and the remainder of the concrete columns are being finished. But I imagine over the next couple of weeks there won't be any major works
  18. I'd say it will temporarily be there until the ride is removed in a couple years time
  19. You can't see river rapids from MDMC, and they have completely hidden the river rapids from view when in the gold rush area
  20. Mammoth Falls has now reopened, despite the website still saying its closed for Maintenance
  21. Yeah, people were trying to. Thought they were in a stupid spot, and they are basically behind the other thing that you have a photo in
