  1. A sneak peek look at DW's new gourmet pizza store, Dough Bros Pizzaria. It is opening next Sunday. (Photo posted by DW on FB)
  2. Question: Would it be possible for the claw to be modified so that it would rotate a full 360, or would the change cost a lot?
  3. Dirt is starting to be placed over the reclaimed land (Photo source: Theme Park Social Network)
  4. Yes it is In my opinion, I think we are going to see some major works happening for the Creatures of the Deep attraction after the Summer holidays. I think that like Dinosaur Island, it will use the lighthouse area and that building. On the theme park place's latest park update, they stated that they believe that now the top section of the bridge (next to jet rescue) has been removed, it could be the entrance to Wild. To me this makes sense, if it is still happening. And if it isn't, it could still make a good entrance.
  5. When I went to Screameworld a couple of weeks, there queues were a reasonable length. The longest I waited for was 30 minutes (ToT) and the shortest was 5 minutes (Wipeout). I enjoyed the event, and despite it not being as good as Movie Worlds big events, but Screamworld is trying to be one of those events. For what it is, it is good, queues are reasonable and the night is worth the price.
  6. Went to Screamworld tonight, so I finally got to do Tail Spin. It's a great addition. It doesn't matter whether you are spinning like crazy, or taking it easy it is fun. I went on it 3 times and managed to get a couple of spins on the 2nd to rides. I managed to figure out the way to do it, but the wind stopped me from spinning a lot more. Even when in the queue line you aren't bored, because you are watching and want the riders to spin. People were cheering and clapping when people managed to get them to spin a lot. I did find that the wings were surprisingly heavier than I thought. Overall it's a great ride and really well themed. Overall ocean parade was really well done, but I agree that the area behind tail spin, might have been forgotten about. But it isn't really an area that is used a lot, so I can understand why. I also got to ride wipeout for the first time. Really good ride, and the spray water canons were a great addition. A couple of times you felt like you were over the top of the viewing deck. Tonight was the first time I've been to Screamworld and I did think it was really good. Good that's quite a lot of the rides were open and not just the thrill rides. Worth the money, will be going again.
  7. I find what the Dreamworld Unlimited World Pass offers is much better. You get discounts tickets for friends (10% and then 50% during your birthday month), discount on food, drinks, in the shops, Big Brother Tickets, ride photos and on the flowrider. Passes are $90 for children and $110 for adults. Which lasts until Christmas Eve next year. Right now the VIP passes are $100 each and you don't get the discounts. So I don't think they should increase the prices. I think maybe the VIP Gold Pass should include these type of benefits.
  8. ^Thanks for that. It looks amazing lit up like that.
  9. ^I think "Inner City Rush" is the film they are making during the show.
  10. That's great to hear that Cyclone is running smoother and doesn't stop 10 times coming into the station. Now they just need to upgrade the queue line.
  11. Why don't you just go to the general enquires office on main street and ask them
  12. I haven't been to WC before, but was just wondering what the ride queues are like. Because the event is only 3 hours I'd imagine if people were to do rides you would only be able to do a couple and then watch the main parade at the end of the night. What else is there to do at it?
  13. I think BuzzSaw is a really good ride. It may not be long, but the sensation of feeling like you'll fall out in great. It picks up a really good speed on the drop down. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the ride used to do 2 circuits when it first opened? In peek seasons I think its alright if it only did the first circuit because the queue time would become even longer, but in off-peek it would be good if it did.
  14. Here you go: Thanks for that review and images reanimated. Sounds great and love the interaction you get with the mazes.
  15. But isn't being let into the park for the day like being paid? It costs the park to let them in, usually they would have to pay up to $85. So they aren't working for nothing. Some people don't have the spare money to go to theme parks. Yes the money would be nice, but most families want to see there kids be happy, and I'm pretty sure a day at the park would make there day.
  16. I would say it represents the waters current.
  17. ^Exactly. And it isn't the first time parks have done this. I think its good when they do this. Do something for the park for a few hours and then get a free day at the park.
  18. ^I think that cabanas at WnW have just been painted to brighten them up a bit, like a lot of the other shelters seen in that image.
  19. Here is a look at those water canyons that have been installed alongside river rapids (Source: Thrillz FB page):
  20. I would too say Dreamworld and Sea World. Dreamworld have shown us what they can do when they renovate an area (Ocean Parade), they now need to continue this with Gold Rush Country. They have started doing some minor modifications, but they need to continue throughout the area. They also need to renovate/upgrade the Cyclone. Coroboree has had some changes, but some of the animal exhibits need to be upgraded, such as the crocodile area and where the dingos were (Some posted on DW's FB page asking about the Dingos, and they replied saying some new animals would be coming to the area soon. Sea World too have started renovating some areas, but some buildings need a refresh, and some of the pathways need replacing.
  21. ^I'm assuming that noise is coming form River Rapids. If so, I don't see the point of the dinosaurs, its a mine themed ride of men, who just escaped from prison, which are now steeling gold from a prison. I think they need to fix the story of the ride.
