I really hope that they are continuing the darker blue across, because the text isnt even centred, surely they wouldn't mess up that badly

The netting has been fully installed, and the Topgolf sign has been replaced for the Commonweslth Games

The vertical garden on the screen is looking much better now it’s grown And additional seating and a new sign has been added outside

The shade sail is missing, and the whole Mach 5 tower remains closed

Demolition can be seen from the DW carpark And from the correct angle, you can see inside the Chairlift station

The Western food outlet has had its roller doors painted so suit the area, and probably so it doesn’t stand as much that it’s never open

A lap-bar would definitely be a better option (if available), but I seriously cant see DW using a lap-bar, they'd definitely have the OTSR

That ride system looks awesome and I've never seen anything like that before. If this is the exact system DW is using, then that makes me even more excited for it.

The ticket purchase UI has also now been completely changed, and is now a popup window. You can still purchase tickets through themeparks.com.au but you can also just be on the parks individual websites and a window will open directly on the website for all forms of ticket purchasing

I personally think it is an improvement from what it used to be, just a plain path, with a small sign at the start near Rocky Hollow. At least this creates some shading and shows the bright and vibrant aspects of the Aboriginal tradition. But the path definitely doesn't seem quite as wide, which is a shame (as said) it doesn't seem like a main path entrance to a new land within the park. But maybe the existing infrastructure didnt allow for it to be wider with the curved design they chose. I am really glad that they didnt have that curved wall on the right go all the way up and left it open, otherwise that definitely wouldn't be a nice experience to walk through there

Tickets are now available for more Park After Dark events for 2018. The dates are May 26, July 7, August 28 and October 27. No details have been announced for what theme the nights will have yet. Ticket pricing has also increased to $39.99 for Children and $49.99 for Adults.

The Wicker Man has replaced 'The Flume' and is the first wooden coaster in the UK in 21 years is opening at Alton Towers within the next couple of months. It certainly is impressive

Jet Streams have been closed since about October last year, but only recently the whole tower closed. The shade sail has been removed from the tower too. Lazy river is always closed for that long because of the quieter winter period, and the river rapids must just be getting a very thorough maintenance period. Wouldn't say it a bad year, just general park maintenance that has to happen.

Just out of curiosity then. You don’t want your daughter to ride anything at the park (which I respect your decision) because of the owners of the park, and simply by changing the owners you think that their safety will improve? Or is purely just because of what the company has done to the park and you don’t want your daughter to experience that? Im personally not a fan of Ardent, and what the park had become to just a few years ago was disappointing. I think over the last couple of years and the improvements they’ve made (refurbishing rides, repainting facades, etc) has been great and has improved the park, but still some of the decisions made don’t make sense. I’m very glad they reopened the log ride, and if the only way they were going to reopen it was with the canopies, then sure, still don’t agree that was a good idea, but it’s operating, and one day they may come up with a better solution. Saying that, refurbishing Tiger Island, awesome. Adding the LEGO store and getting rid of the old dark exit area, awesome. A soon to be added flying theatre, awesome. Getting rid of SBNO attractions, awesome. Whether it was Ardent directly that made these decisions, or the parks head staff having to fight for money to get these things to happen .... I’m glad they’ve made these changes and do look forward to seeing what the park will become, with more money being invested into it. It’s just going to take a couple of years.

@Skeeta Yes. I love Dreamworld, but I am just waiting until these new attractions are opened before I get a pass again. Mine expired towards the end of last year (At the time didnt have the spare money to buy one), but now just waiting a few months.

Oh I would @Brad2912, but I don’t have a pass, so can’t. But it is good to see they are finally able to begin removing the river rapids. But an surprised they are removing more facades from gold rush

Just a quick SW update After vanishing for a few months, the Whale Shark has returned And renovations are being made on one of the pools in the Dolphin Nursery, which has meant the majority of Creatures of the Deep is closed

Construction update

Movie World doesn’t even refer to the ride as that now. Waa definitely a confusing name when the ride originally opened, everyone called it something different. Now, a part from the rides logo, it’s just Justice League 3D - The Ride.
