  1. Not at all. It’s been very well put together. Constructed really well and a great new addition for the wildlife area. The old Bilby house felt more temporary. They now have spinifex jumping mice in there. There were a couple of empty exhibitions that had ‘coming soon’ signage on them (and not just a laminated piece of paper). It is very dark in there, so if it gets busy in there, expect to walk into others. But the Bilby enclosure is double the size of what they had and has been done very well
  2. Not too bad. It did have a long queue. Longest flat ride queue in the kids area. Staff were setting up more queue rails to extend it further. I didn’t stand around long enough to get a rough queue time
  3. Serpent Slayer wasn’t operating this morning, but here’s a look at it How awesome is this sign! As we know, Wild and Mild are the new style names The attraction is very blue. But I think they’ve pulled it off well. It seems that they are now able to operate Wild and mild at the same time depending on queue lengths. Because of this, they’ve got the letters on the floor in preparation for loading.
  4. The new centre opens this week as part of the Easter Bilby celebrations
  5. Having the light on the attraction is great, especially during the parks family night events because the ride could definitely be forgotten about or missed if you didn’t already know it was there due to its location within the kids area
  6. Coaster Studios Movie World video is up. They show a behind the scenes look at Rivals control booth, Justice League, Superman and Hollywood Stunt Driver
  7. They used to have one, probably 10 years ago. But it wasn’t anything special and didn’t provide much information you couldn’t get on the website. VRTP also had one around that time, and provided much the same type of info. It wasn’t until post COVID, where they found a way to push/force guests to get it and is much more useful.
  8. They are also building smaller enclosures in the store too
  9. Except for right now as it’s closed with some technical issues happening
  10. It will be likely that the ride will close again to allow for these works. Some preliminary/low scale works may happen outside of park hours, but when it comes to installing the ride itself, it will be very likely to close for a few weeks. Id imagine in future years, when SE is scheduled to close for maintenance, I’d assume that Surfrider will also close for maintenance.
  11. In case anyone has any doubts about whether Surfrider was moving here or not, looking at the alignment of the bolts on the new slab versus the column positioning on Surfrider currently at WNW, they definitely seem to match (Photos from Parkz)
  12. Here is Coaster Studios behind the scenes look at Scooby Doo
  13. Escape Coaster has been pushed back to after the school holidays
  14. I think it’s a hose. For Kyle it will likely come out his mouth and for Walter, out the fishes mouth, which is in the boot. Great to see they’re bringing back this feature and they’re introducing new characters. I’d say later this year we’ll see a new show in the theatre which features all these characters. Also, Belinda’s Tree House has been removed from the maintenance listing and according to the attractions page it is now open. And the Wiggles character Show is moving to the Theatre.
  15. You can see on the plan the stage is getting an arc cut out of it to allow for the globe I do think that the chairs would go higher than the structures
  16. Looking at the plan overlay, it appears they will be moving the globe to the left so it’s slightly closer to the entrance of the park. The second (smaller) structure, I wonder if that’s a small kiosk/store replacing the one thats currently in the park (next to the park map) or if it’s control booth/exit. I do like the structures, and there are needed in some form because of shading needed for the queue and control booth, but hopefully when the rides in operation, these structures don’t feel like they’re closing the ride in, as the main goal of this ride is to activate the entry and Main Street. Having it open to the south and east will certainly be great, but my concern is as you enter the park as it’s the first view/impression guests will get.
