What's the back story to that photo? Display piece?

Your top billing attraction isn't open due to whatever reason. Cash flow is non existent. You have very little money to spend. You need something now, not in two years time. You've just had to close a key ride permanently. Do you do nothing, or see who you can get and afford at short notice?

Someone actually changed their like to a Fountain after your post 😀

Personally, I don't do motion simulators as I get nauseous from them. Nearly threw up after Transformers Singapore (but wanted to ride it again!). But if there is something reasonable to follow SV (although highly unlikely), I'd get another season pass to the park in about 12 months time when our toddler is big enough to appreciate the place, and my son big enough to enjoy SV and maybe a few of the bigger rides. Otherwise as above, I will wait until it is relocated.

What's gone wrong with SkyVoyager?

You don't need theme park experience to build a building in a theme park though. You just need to have the right people employed by the theme park, to then find the right designers and contractors to build it. -
I work for a former aircraft engineer. He may not have a degree, and be a bit of a larrikin, but I'd trust him to fix my plane or manage ride maintenance. They take their safety very seriously. He was one of the team that repaired the overshot Qantas jet years back (the repair that cost more than a new plane, to preserve their safety rating). I'll ask him if he knows this guy.

Thanks for the information @AlexB. Both of our kids "came out through the sunroof", will warn the wife when she finally can get on. -
Movie World DC Hypercoaster plus sized harness fit?

Talking probably ~1cm. Makes me think it's the mounting point in relation to the seat, rather than the belt itself. -

Very slowly. Normally with a winch a few metres at a time. -

I think it was from testimony by either one of the operators, or a former operator. I recall reading it too. -
Movie World DC Hypercoaster plus sized harness fit?

Superman belts seem to be the same overall length, but the mounting point must be different compared to the seat base front or rear row. I have more adjustment left in the front row compared to the back in each carriage. -

How did you go with Green Lantern? My wife just made it on that last time, but failed Hypercoaster. Hypercoaster is dependent on your belly, backside & hips. The harness goes around your middle in a C like shaped when viewed from above, and the seat is shaped in similar style but in the reverse to have them overlap. As Brad said, try the test seat. I found it is a little conservative based on my shape, I just fail on the test seat but have no issue on the actual ride. If you can't get a green light, hop off, pull the seat down and measure the gap on the side using someone's hand to judge where it goes green. Then hop back in and see how far off you are. Try a few different options, wiggling back as much as possible. If you pass that step, enjoy the queue and the looks on the faces of the passengers on the returning train. Once you are on, ultimately the hydraulics need to hold the harness down. Don't connect the belt, the staff will do it if you can't reach it. If it won't stay down by itself without the belt, you can't ride. They are really polite about it if it won't lock. -
Dreamworld reduces operating hours

That's more an issue with management I would have thought! 😁 Being serious though, it doesn't take months to replace existing rail and sleepers. -

So what's the issue with the track then? -
Also, being so far from the East Coast events, if you can get the first year or two to be successful, people will soon adapt to the change.
