  1. You've got to love oxenford fun park. Also, I realise the media makes it way worse than reality. But Movie World has had three rides stop in the span of 3 months (I think), and 2 in a week.
  2. I don't think seven news are going to stop reporting matters like this because a theme park forum doesn't like it
  3. Road Runner Rollercoaster Stuck at the hump of the hill. They were stuck up their for an hour and were rescued. This occurred during the last hour of the opening time. Occurred due to a technical glitch, the same reason as the green lantern stoppage not long ago. Ride is now open again. Seven News Report-
  4. This website https://greatrides.en.alibaba.com/product/60416635428-801271183/kids_electric_bumper_car_without_antenna.html that is selling bumper cars like dreamworlds suggest that it runs on electricity
  5. There is a small part of a plank missing, which is wear the photo was taken
  6. At this point, it is highly likely that the gold rush area with be transformed into something different. The thunder river rapids are going through demolition, the eureka mine ride has been abandoned for 10 years, the rocky hollow log ride has been removed from the dw map and the ride itself has been drained and the buzzsaw is the only ride operating in the facinity. At this point a retheme is highly likely. Or the site could remain, which would be more likely if the log ride re-opens. What rides would you want to see open and what themeing would they have if the site remains. or What should the site be rethemed to and what rides would it have. Also remember Dreamworld is announcing something this year.
  7. Has anyone also noticed the extra pracautions ride attendants take. For example, on the claw, multiple times they have released the harnesses and double checked them. I also asked why this was and was told they have to do it. On the buzzsaw they have also done this multiple times. Also, once the gates opened slowly so they got all the riders off the ride, completed a full test cycle and than got us on again.
  8. I agree, I don't know if it's the track, the train or something else
  9. Does anyone else get shaken around a lot while going through the station on the buzzsaw.
  10. Awesome, hopefully we can see the rest of the rides open before the end of the extended opening time. I also saw testing of the giant drop yesterday but unfortunately, none on the tot.
  11. From the Fire Machine show last night. practically a ghost town and I know it's not focused
  12. Does anyone know what this is used for Is near eureka mine ride
  13. The Fire Machine is a must do. Honestly, even if you just go on a couple of rides, have something to eat and watch the fire Machine show. It'll be definitely worth it. Also the rides are very cool at night, especially the buzz saw. Defineltly give it a try
  14. The timing on which they have closed the ride is during possibly the most popular time for tourists. With that said, its obvious Movie World wasn't fully expecting for the changes to have to be made, otherwise they would have been made before holidays. With that said, if you were a tourist, and you visited Movie World, would you be more dissapointed if you couldn't ride sdsc at all, or if you could ride but without scenery. So from a tourist standpoint it's a better outcome than a complete closing of the ride. I understand the standards of village roadshow theme parks and how they aren't met with the current state of the ride, but in the long run, more people got to experience the sdsc. And if you were a tourist, although you would be dissapoined, it wouldn't be as bad of an experience if you hadn't rode before. That's my opinion
  15. I just went to dreamworld and was amazed by how much they have stepped up their game to get visitors back. Many things to do if you don't like rides, but if you're their for rides only, you will become exhausted of the available ones after one day.
  16. I don't think they should build in the Gold Coast, we already have so many on the Gold Coast. Most families only have admission to one bundle of parks and it will be tough for them to survive, especially if it's anything like paradise Country. Anyway, I probably send something incorrect and will get downvoted
  17. Yes, but Sydney has more people living their. Melbourne*
  18. My top rides at movie World would be 1. Green lantern. Such a smooth and consistent ride with awesome turns. Really love the banked curve before you pull into the station 2. Batman Arkham Assylum. So many inversions and such a good speed. VR definitely adds to the experience 3. Superman. Speed, speed and theming 4. Scooby Doo. Such a fun small ride, love the crazy turns and sudden drops 5. Batwing. The initial takeoff gives you an awesome feeling of being mid air, 50-60 metres in the sky 6. Doomsday Destroyer. Can get repetitive but is still a fun ride 7. WWF. Such cool theming but very slow and repetitive ride 8. Justice Leauge. So repetitive but would probably be fun for some families. 9. Kids land. Meh 10. Dogems. Generic
