  1. Maybe people just aren't as into butt stuff as the internet thinks they are
  2. A Bluey ride(s) would lock down the current kids market (in my mind). MW kids offering being looney tunes just doesn't have "kids" impact anymore. My boy learnt about Looney Tunes from Movieworld, and thats just not that exciting when Batman is around the corner who hes seen on TV and T-Shirts and Cartoons ect previously. And I'm just talking IP here, not even discussing ride offering. I think Sea Worlds Nick zone is pretty solid with their IP though and still relevant.
  3. This sound a bit dicky and a bit of an out, but... If @themagiciandoesn't provide a source, its confidential. This forum has "reputation" for that reason though. Someone with the top rep on the forum posts and doesn't provide a source, they still can generally be trusted, just use common sense and make sure its not a joke. If you or even me started posting stuff, then sure be skeptical.
  4. Well they don't need to. Thats what Sky Voyager was for
  5. I should also mention my company offers annual direct debit but monthly is much more profitable as @Brad2912 said due to the smaller bill size. We offer a completely different product, more or less a necessity but the same "rules" still apply. Our customers aren't loyal, no matter what corporate tells us, they just like small regular, hardly noticeable bills.
  6. At my company we encourage our customers to pay by the month with auto renewal as the customer retention rate is pretty much double. Not particularly loyalty but money is money
  7. Wouldn't VRTP retain the right to also just cease memberships at their will?
  8. Please provide MW feedback, particularity if a specific staff member was helpful, such as the front gate attendant. Direct positive feedback is a lot less uncommon than complaints and means a lot for all involved.
  9. I read it as ride maintenance effects both those wanting to ride it (guests) and those who want to go on other rides that have increase wait times due to less capacity elsewhere (visitors). But it wasn't worded well. Schools back today!
  10. Although when I was at SW last the ride op was being very firm on this and asking pretty much everyone, including some young adults, taking more or less the cigarette approach
  11. Aren't they literally the same height?
  12. Completely agree. If it was faster, you wouldn't get the hangtime. And riding on the edge seats with no track just feels different to me, almost like you're falling. Unless the wheels come off, then you may be falling but thats a separate issue. Back on topic, Channel 7 had a news report on Steel Taipans construction last night. https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSGoldCoast/posts/3832782013487125
  13. You say that, and I know I'm a minority here, but I love GL and the ride and thrills it offers are completely different to Rivals. If its working....
  14. It was quite gusty where I was on north brisbane and the fireball is weather dependant. What was the winds like down on the GC?
  15. "Starting with first of three launches" Doesn't it swing launch over the same track?
  16. There is also a billboard on the highway advertising it saying opening soon.. except its been there for ages.
  17. Honestly the kmart boxes were a tripping hazard too. I saw a few people stumble over them
  18. Nothing from a source but I drove past last weekend. The watertanks on the site have been removed, the front half has been mowed, in front of the treeline and there are survey markers around the site. The white stakes with red tops.
  19. There is a chance the Disney figure was the "cost of the park" not just how much was spent on completed rides / areas for opening.
  20. Something something big enough for your mum. Fill in the gaps, too lazy this morning for a burn. Yeah Black Hole is pretty compact and the final slide run is low profile and the buildings / shelters around the area a low enough for slides to run above. Not sure the rules around this but if needed I'm sure support pillars could go into the horse paddocks around the edges too.
