  1. Doomsday destroyer is a dc comics attraction and wild west falls is great but it is still a generic non-licensed attraction. Forgot about scooby doo but six flags san antonio still has a scooby doo ride.
  2. I would rather a bland attraction and the park be blamed for not re investing than an empty plot of land where the park is being blamed for not reinvesting. I'm not made about shutting attractions so long as the replacement can justify the closure.
  3. Universal Studios has extremely well themed areas and rides based off tens of licensed properties. Six Flags and Movie World have poorly themed areas based off two licensed properties.
  4. The pirate ship is still running at funfields in Victoria don't know why that couldn't stay at sea world and the matrix was open for just 3 years and was a walkthrough attraction what maintenance does a walkthrough attraction of prop replicas have. Besides a ride can stay open forever say long as they are willing to re invest the money made from admission fees into the parks instead of sending it off to support other failed investments
  5. Warner Bros Movie World is our nation's answer to six flags park now and really needs some diversity to become something of a universal studios level.
  6. You're not the only one they have lost I have not been to a village roadshow park in the last 2-3 years and neither has anyone else I know simply because of how over the years they remove classics like looney tunes river ride or the matrix exhibit and replace it with absolute crap such as driving school and a couple of carnival games over at movie world or with nothing at all in the case of sea viper and the pirate ship over at seaworld.
  7. I have a friend who has visited Japan a couple of times and he raves about how good Movie Village in Kyoto is and if you like anime I would recommend J World, Ghibli Museum and Gundam Front in tokyo.
  8. Will miss that mountain as it certainly added to the theming of the area.
  9. I wouldn't call pipeline plunge a splash pad considering it is called a water playground.
  10. Yes I know it isn't cheap and i can understand a few hundred thousand but millions of dollars for something like this.
  11. Wait they are spending Millions on the splash pad how will that work how will a splash pad cost millions.
  12. I agree it does seem like a very good idea for village roadshow to do now that I understand better.
  13. It seems this story has unfortunately been picked up by our friends at the gold coast bulletin and their mates at the courier mail, the Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald
  14. Think AFR think why would they invest hundreds of millions of dollars on top golf and DC Rivals only to sell a few months later.
  15. Hey I didn't know that Luna Park's Ranger was for sale at $99,000. http://www.rides4u.com/view/3128
  16. So happy about the splash zone I honestly thought the old waterpark would be SeaWorlds next empty plot of land. Cough Sea Viper and Pirate Ship Cough
  17. Just because it has 2 trains doesn't mean they will be running 2 trains cough cough superman escape. But at least it has 2 trains and one wasn't cannibalised cough cough arkham asylum.
  18. Hey anyone know what dreamworlds next addition will be I am thinking a 500ft, wooden, dive coaster.
  19. Take a look at how dirty and faded the outside of most slides on the gold coast are yeah they don't repaint them.
  20. Why are we talking about the state of Movie World when the state of Sea World is worse because of how they keep closing rides and never replacing them (pirate ship, sea viper, water park, vikings revenge, skyway)
  21. First ASF now Songcheng guess we can't have nice things.
  22. Epcot was also rather disappointing when it first had opened, not to mention disneyland paris's second gate Walt's Hollywood Studio's still struggles and is often regarded as Disney's worst park.
  23. Hey I wonder how many we would need for a Universal Studios Park.
  24. Gee I thought Morgan's Wonderland in San Antonio was just a kids park not a disabled park but I guess learn something new everyday.
