  1. See, now if this ranger was telling you... i'd believe it. The King never lies..
  2. Appeared to be a park ranger, and taking to you on YouTube. How does 1 appear to be a park ranger on YouTube? Sounds legit to me.
  3. The issue is the flow on effect - people want to try the storm due to it being new, a first in Australia. They buy a VIP pass (why would u pay $80 to go once, when for $100 u can get 3 parks for a year) which them gives flow on incremental visitation to MW and WnW. Also target markets - for most families with young children, SW is their favourite park on the coast
  4. Dreamworlds new attraction is certainly not being pitched as an alternative or competition to "The Storm" at SW. One is a replacement attraction, the other is a brand new Australian first Ride. DW is clearly happy/accepting of losing some ground (more ground) to the competition this year, with hopefully a major ride opening late 2014
  5. Indoor tube slide at the Olympic Pool at Homebush in Sydney
  6. A 4yr old would love the Dreamworks area
  7. Most of it matches what I said There is no script or screenplay. They have a blank slate at the moment The direction is not settled on It won't be ready for 2015, maybe late 2016 at the earliest, even then I think that's unlikely.
  8. The article u quoted is completely speculative, which it even states itself. No chances of a MOS2 until 2015 at least - they are not going to write a script, film & edit within - 18 months! JL WILL NOT happen within next 4 years. It's been in planning for 8 years!
  9. Wrong. The Justice League movie has no release date, and most certainly will not hit screens prior 2017-18. There is no script, after the previous script was rejected. After the success of Man of Steel, Warner Bros & DC are pushing forward with a sequel to Man of Steel before looking at JL. Thanks for the unnecessary breakdown on film production times..
  10. Ryan Reynolds has publicly stayed that whilst he is contracted for 2 more films, he has no intention or desire to be involved in Green Lantern movies again. Was not invested or interested in the role or script. Unless a Nolan or Whedon type director get involved, there will not be another Green Lantern, well not with Reynolds
  11. That can't be right - that would mean people over 90cm can't ride, which clearly isn't correct. Ill think you'll find it's minimum 90cm
  12. A jungle cruise with real saltwater crocodiles & hippos - will never happen. Too many risks
  13. yeah...i hate that ... still regretting that day my mate made me crash my car into a brick wall for laughs ...still get pain in my neck and back on cold mornings.... here's a tip - get new friends..
  14. you seem oddly excited to be posing in front of a plaque commemorating people who have tragically died?? Do you go to cemetery's and take happy snaps with dumb grins in front of headstones?
  15. But why do u want it gone if it is a popular crowd puller for families and people looking for 'light thrills'?? Every ride in a park can't be a record breaker or a insane thrill ride. In my opinion, removing if would cause more negativity towards the park than there currently is. I think you (and others) just need to let go. You've just hooked onto this idea without any real base for your opinion. You may as well just say to remove every ride u don't like or don't ride. Why not rip up the Dreamworks area and build a coaster there? Because the park has to cater for everyone!
  16. Everyone may as well just get over it. It's not going anywhere. Thrill seekers like many of us are not fans, but it constantly has long lines, and is popular with families and those no ready for the more full-on rides. They've marketing it wrong, that is all. It's not terrible, and certainly not bad enough to remove. It has its place in the park, and will be there for the foreseeable future
  17. DW will not close down the studio regardless of whether Big brother is on or not. It was off screen for 4 years and they stayed. They have plenty of land to develop regardless of the studios if they want to
  18. I'd be hoping they build a rollercoaster much bigger than the eureka footprint. If DW really wants to be taken seriously in terms of competition with MW, they need a GREAT coaster!
  19. And of course, it couldn't have been a maintenance issue that is being fixed - definitely a budget cut issue
  20. There would be no hype in the media if there was no announcement from SW, which at this stage there has not been.
  21. No chance Ardent's Leisure's flagship theme park, selling it would send consumer confidence, and see there stock price plummet. Agree more can certainly be done, but it certainly isn't at the point of being closed. Channel 9 recently signed off on a further 2 seasons of big brother there as well
  22. Stayed in the Super 8 just down the road from Disneyland. If your looking for a bed & not planning on spending days in the motel room - it's good for what you pay.
  23. DW had a big contingent running around the AALARA convention on the Gold Coast yesterday. Speaking to ride manufacturers including Intamin.
