Only thing I could think of is the addition of a block section in the subway, where additional story could be told.

Gold Rush to get aviation theme at Dreamworld?
Whombex replied to themeparkaddict's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Tail spin - up against the back wall of the i-Ride? Not the best spot. IF the Aviation theme happens, and IF they moved Tailspin, it would have to be in open space, with at most trees nearby, no walls. -

When I signed up my family for Village Passes, I used my mobile number for my then 13 year old stepson's membership. Now they're spamming him (me) with ads. Is that allowed, sms advertising to members they know to be children?

Drove past today (in a surprisingly successful bid to use Steve Irwin Way to avoid the Bruce Highway Sunday mess). The place looks just as it does above... except the fence with the banner is now overgrown with creeping vine weeds, and the cleared out land is weed-ridden and untouched.

I did. Anyway, I hope they don't just drop it in Blue Lagoon, that's a great sport for an out-and-back coaster starting near Big Brother Cafe.

Skeets, I wrote about a ghost ride in the same themed area as the accident. Media would be all over it like a flock of seagulls on a chip.

I had considered a haunted mine themed omnimover in Goldrush, but yeah, I agree with you. DW won't put anything in along that path for a while.
-
I guess it all hinges on Goldrush remaining the theme in the area it stood. The talk last year was of the Dark Ride replacing Eureka. I think an Omnimover could work in either a new building in Goldrush, or Brock's Garage. Could the Avis Vintage Cars be used somewhere else in a Dark Ride (electrically powered if indoors)? We can't expect anything as grandiose as Indiana Jones, but this could certainly add to their way of "going in a different direction to MW's DC Rivals".

Did you get to ride backwards too?

Nope. If they're in your head, we need to now funnel all our hopes for the park into you! 😁 -
The new building will be the work of pure imagination...?

Great to hear you were able to enjoy your visit! Rivals is certainly an awesome ride.

Roachie I thought you said in the Longhurst interview thread, that Hollywood House was removed, and some wood was salvaged and used in the BB cafe?

It's quite easy to see it sliced up into a residential estate. Oran Park, a motor racing circuit in South Sydney, was bought by developers and made into an estate. As a token gesture, some streets were named after famous drivers. I can see that being done with Dreamworld. Thunderbolt Chase, Billabong Crescent, Rocky Hollow Road, Eureka Street...

There used to be a policeman that entertained people in the vintage cars (when it was where MDMC is today). In addition to @Roachie posting about a themed final room in GD, there was a movie about the disaster on the Oil Rig that played before you went to the ride room. Tower of Terror had an elevator system to get you to the ride (and better immersive queue theming) before the stairs were put in, back when the ride entry was on the western side of the building. Remote controlled boats.

West coast V East coast theme parks in USA

Haven't done LA, and have only done Universal/Islands of Adventure in Orlando. Considering you're doing this as a 'once in a lifetime' and you're parks enthusiasts, I suggest Orlando. - Disney World is almost a whole trip in itself, well discussed elsewhere on this forum. - Universal/Islands of Adventure. - International Drive area (which includes a Sea World). - NASA over at Cape Canaveral to the East. - Busch Gardens just over an hour south in Tampa Bay. I don't envy your decision. As posted in this thread, LA offers so much as well. -
Village Roadshow has gone into a trading halt
Whombex replied to New display name's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I disagree. Selling it and having the new owner invest in it and attract visitors to the precinct sounds pretty good. Especially if the 'precinct' runs from WNW to MW and includes the hotels/etc. Of course, VRTP needs money for those investments, too! Hard if current sales are raising funds for debt reduction only. -
It'll be very very close. They may have to 'staple' you, so don't be upset if they can't fit you in. The RideOps don't judge. As Flynn says, try the test seat.

One way MDMC could work in that shed is to theme inside to an outdoor race track (Surfer's Paradise Supercars style?) with a fake sky, and change the trains to cars. ...just being whimsical.
