On a reletively unrelated note does anyone here know who's in charge of hiring the production crew for Big Brother? I'm assuming Southern Star/Endemol.

I'm pretty happy with my xbox360. If I bought another console it'd be the Wii. -
That ride most definately a highlight at Dreamworld. I went with a few mates last year when it was raining... that was an interesting experience.
-
I remember hearing this last season as well. Rumour?

Give me polar bears over whales any day.

I was in Year 12 when this post was new. I don't think Movie World would care, right? Just as long as you show.

Mick Doohan Motocoaster construction discussion

How do the restraints work on this type of ride? I'm enjoying this competition Dreamworld/Movie World have going on lately. Good stuff! -
Even with a line it seems to move fast. On Halloween Night #2 the park was fully packed - Scooby took about an hour to get onto, but this ride was 15 minutes most.
-
Two of my friends said the same thing. Strange.
-
OMG - Memories just came flooding back. I can't believe you remember that. :| I went to that park once, though I was a bit of a waterslide wuss back then.
-
Oh, man. Forgot all about this. Atleast I went to the Halloween one, though. Were all the rides operating like on Halloween?

What is with Batwing's Themeing? - You decide
D.C. replied to Coaster Boy 6's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I don't mind the Batwing themeing and I really like the arch, but there could always be more. (Even if they had like a California Adventure style Tower of Terror I'd still be saying there could be more most likely. ) -
I'm a massive fan of themed rides - I sure could go for another multi-million dollar mine ride. Like something completely better than Eureka! An 'E-Ticket' type indoor ride that could add to their Big 5 thrill rides. (Don't mind me, I'm getting carried away. ) BIG SIX THRILL FIX!
-
I thought the arch looked pretty damn iconic!
-
But not too shabby on a cold day - especially when you're the only one from the group that got drenched... ah, precious memories.

The Haunted Mansion has an elaborate way of getting guests to the attraction which is further away. (At Disneyland, California that is.) If it's done right I think Movie World could pull off what I think Gazza is suggesting with the queue towards the front, but the main ride building further away. (Although that could prove expensive...)
-
Maybe they're doing a full refurbish with state of the art visual effects... :| Hey, I can hope. That's always been one of my favourite rides.
-
Wasn't that cost for Wet 'n' Wild and Australian Outback Spectacular too?

It was on Ten's News in Brisbane tonight during the weather update. Vox popped nicely with the crowds. Lots of launch coverage including Batman's stunt down the top of the tower, an interview with John Menzies as well as interviews with the special guests such as Michael Voss (Brisbane Lions) and other sports folk. The news seemed to be having technical difficulties tonight, though - lots of sound cuts, etc. Looked good, though. On ride footage looked great. The weather chick said she was to frightened to ride. I personally can't wait!

Walk through attraction. People in costumes try to scare you.

Thanks for the heads up about Network Ten. They're always good to the theme parks. Looking forward to riding this, but I guess that's the stock answer everyone says. Bah!
-
Man, that's crazy. One of my friends tried to sneak a mobile phone onto the ride - just in his pockets and the ride op spotted it. This guy had it out in the open. Crazy fool.
-
It was fairly short on Brisbane's Seven News. Didn't miss much. Just archival footage of all the parks and some that don't exist anymore/renamed etc. Interesting but not essential. They showed footage from the Movie World opening that I hadn't seen before - looked like they put on a good show. Dreamworld's main street in the archival footage looked almost identical to how it is today. I don't have the means to tape it let alone YouTube it, so hopefully some others did.
-
Man, that's depressing. My thoughts are with the victim.

The rides still look damn cool, though!
