Movie World Scheduled Maintenance 2024
STRAWS replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Put it this way Village have already shown they will close rides to save $ we don't need you trying to defend that cause anyone with half a brain can see it. Gues behavior will shut dont their rides from time to time. But according to Village due to guest feedback people prefer when rides are closed as it makes the experience even better. -

ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜did I jynx something. I know tailspin is closed now to at the moment could they be doing a overhaul on these attractions like maybe a 10-year thing where it requires more maintenance it seems really odd at the moment lol. -

I'm assuming that's a wrap on Doomsday. Watch village leave the ride to rot and degrade for 2 years before deciding to get rid of it. Also, Village with this 2-month maintenance bs for every ride has to be about saving money. Dreamworld the only rides that take that long is Gold coaster and if it's a major refurb. -
Does anyone else know the other music that plays throughout the ride?.

I don't think they are trying to save money for all the rides being closed but when does this happen at DW I ask. every now and again a ride will close for technical issues but it almost always reopens again .Movie World takes a few days to reopen its rides. plus, DW plan their Maintenance schedule far better than MW Also, I'm calling it right now when wild west falls goes down for maintenance it will be extended, and all the boats will be having issues so they will be testing them with water dummies like the past 3 times its happened. -
The ride was in horrible condition when it closed. It needed this refurb long before now and I was told it was having a lot of technical issues with the lift part as sometimes the lift wouldn't register the cart was on it or something like that.

Movie World Scheduled Maintenance 2024
STRAWS replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Exactly I have already cancelled my pass there I'm sticking to Dreamworld where I actually have an enjoyable day. Bottom line is Movie World is run by a bunch of Tools. No wonder why all of their top staff left and went to Dreamworld. -

I miss when the Wild West falls had its effects working my favorite effects at the last bit have been broken now for almost 3 years. It is pure laziness and completely with in the parks ability to fix. Rember when Justice League had half of the screens broken but it stayed open for like 2 years before they fixed it. And I agree about the staff the only good staff there is one of the ladies at guest services Virtual Que wasn't working for me and when we fixed it it was full for everything, so she gave us a skip the line pass to any ride we wanted. and there was a good one at the batman store to. I Rember them cause everyone else are miserable angry and rude. -
This no Suprise to me people are fed up with how Movie world is run. I went to Dreamworld last week and it was full of life it was pretty busy around 30 minutes to 45 for steel Tipan same for sky voyager and the Giant Drop had a 1-hour que in the afternoon. But it was great to see and it didn't feel suffocating like Movie world.

I agree. Also, even if an assault didn't happen wouldn't the park get bad pr from the men only event. Sure they would have charged a lot for it to happen but in the long run is it worth it. My point being people will cancel you or your business over the tiniest things nowadays even some ridiculous stupid things.

Do you think this has something to do with that guy who injured his shoulder cause he let go and hurt himself. The ride has opened since then but it seems to have a lot of down time after that incident.

Movie World Scheduled Maintenance 2024
STRAWS replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Exactly why I'm sick of Village and their bullshit. I haven't had a good experience at One of their parks in ages unless its completely empty. its why I cancelled my annual pass and go to Dreamworld where I actually enjoy myself -

Ever since Wild West Falls got the new boats it's been unreliable Aswell. Do you guys think they will keep the ride and just keep refurbishing it or do you think its years are numbed with the new attractions coming. -

It seems that way, but they can easily relaunch it Like I know it's not the same but Tower of Terror and TO2 they just modify the name but a different ride. -

Let's just say they did get rid of the Green Lantern ride Is the next ride they put in going to be themed Green Lantern or would they change it? theoretical question what do you guys think. -

I know green lantern has unique trains that holds more people than the other El Locos so maybe this comes with more issues and prolonged maintenance. Maybe but it gets good ques for it and positive feedback. -
I'm not trying to join the bandwagon of people hating on village. But I generally dislike a lot of the staff members there the guest services however are great when virtual que wasn't working for me and it became full when it did work, they gave me a pass to skip the line on any ride of my choice and she was super friendly. My worst experience was a couple team members at the Wild West Falls where I asked if the ride Might reopen later because it broke down one of them said get lost. I was infuriated to say the least it's not like I was being rude or anything. I understand that they probably get asked that question multiple times but with how much people pay to go there even annual pass holders should be treated far better. I didn't complain but I probably should have. Also, a lot of the ride ops look like they hate their jobs which I'm sure we all do at times but it's not good to show it off because it makes the vibe negative and that is opposite to what a theme park is all about. Has anyone else had negative experiences because of staff members?

Dreamworld post Rivertown - Whats next?
STRAWS replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
It has to do with a lot of factors 1 being the theming before they added the corny music and the random screens it always made me more pumped to ride it. I also loved the roaring sound it made it added a lot to the atmosphere of the park. I loved the speed of the ride When I first went on it for the first time, I didn't expect it to go backwards. The feeling of weightlessness and facing straight down as it came back down the tower was so fun. I loved the adrenaline rush it caused. DC Rivals is a great coaster don't get me wrong, but it has never given me the same adrenaline pump as TO2. TO2 is a short 1 trick pony ride but even in the later stages of its life not going as fast etc. it was still a great ride which I never got tired of riding. I just don't get the same buzz from other rides. Might just be me 🤣I hope this explained why It's my favorite. I would love to hear what you guys think about what I said hopefully I explained it well. -

I loved the To2 so much I know a lot of people will disagree, but I think it's far better than DC Rivals even if it's a 1 trick pony. -

talking about Movie World losing its magic look at this Credit Thats so mid This is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I know it school holidays and it will be busy, but this isn't even safe with how many people they have let in imagine they had to do an evacuation. Also 3-hour ques for the rides Village may be pocketing the money now but Movie worlds reputation is going to plummet. they need to limit the numbers. Dreamworld is so much more fun to be at not just because of the ques but the staff are so much better to.
