  1. So that's why MW are uploading POV's of their rides to social media
  2. Curious what kind of maintenance they are doing on Superman with guys crawling over the track. Always good to physically see them checking the tracks during the downtime.
  3. Aussies will mostly, unfortunately, jump at the chance to grow a mullet and strut around in a pair of stubbies
  4. This is the unofficial motto of Enthusiasts
  5. I'm just waiting for the likes of Review Tyme to come out with 'we built an entire theme park using ChatGPT' Hasn't this been the general consensus since Rocky Hollow got removed?
  6. Completely repainting/redesigning the artwork for a facade still counts as changing. Pandamonium may not have much of a "facade" but they are repainting it and changing the theming. That's the same thing happening to a majority of the dreamworks buildings and rides
  7. Dreamworld pretty much rebuilt the original wipeout purely out of the insane amount of welding material that held everything together. They then realised that was a terrible idea and finally threw the ride in the bin.
  8. If Sky Voyager at least fit within the building, there'd be a higher chance it would have remained closer to this look. They'd need to demo half the building now in order to rebuild that type of facade
  9. If only someone had told them that before they introduced a $25 spin and spew upcharge option to their new $30m coaster
  10. Part of the charm of Wipeout was how unique it was. Chucking a Sledgehammer right there would provide great kinetic motion from the highway viewpoints. Think of yourself driving past Dreamworld and you see a Sledgehammer chucking guests around in wild patterns, you'd want to stop and check that out.
  11. From when I've been reading online, that section of Iron Dragon has been temporarily removed to do the groundworks for the spike
  12. Let's be real. They've had a "5 year plan" since 2015
  13. Unless the belt is at maximum length, there should still be enough slack to allow the op to pull up on the harness. I often find them pushing down on the harness before giving it a small tug and then pulling on the loop of the seatbelt to ensure it's locked into the harness and tightened.
  14. I've found one of the biggest differences between Australian operations and other countries operations is the seatbelts and harness. On some rides in Aus, if you pull down your harness or do up your own seatbelt, the ops have to unlock the seat/whole train so they can be the ones to close the harness and belt. I've personally never seen this at any other park I've been to. It seems to just slow down the whole process and even moreso when they have to unlock and recheck the whole train.
  15. I'm down with this if they flip every second seat upside down
  16. Greg has been a lot more transparent and doesn't shy away from throwing around the exact names for specific ride elements so it remains to be seen what the actual situation is with this coaster.
  17. The main problem I can see with this is, you've grouped and sorted everyone to their loading doors so they can walk straight onto the train. As soon as the doors open now, everyone needs to gather around the wall on the far left to drop their items before they can go back to finding their seats. It's not as much of an issue on the exit as everyone has to group around that wall to go through the exit doors anyway.
  18. When there's a 60+ minute queue and your friends are outside because they didn't want to ride, and you've listened to the MRT spiel for the 100th time while standing in the humid queue area, I can understand avoiding it.
  19. A full thread dedicated to a news story about the house of the Dreamworld CEO. Each day we stray further from theme parks
  20. That's the current location of the ride that is receiving works. You'll possibly see another application appear for it to be installed. That would have the lot location of installation
  21. We'll likely see the temporary ride names changed once the works are closer to completion and they've announced more solid details of the Ocean Parade/kids area upgrade
  22. This comes back to going faster for the sake of going faster, potentially risking safety. If you make the ops job a competition, you're gonna have a bad time
  23. I also wouldn't put another coaster there. Clear up the area, put some trees and make the park walls behind it look nice. Now that Rivals is in, that stands out and looks nice from the carpark/highway and makes Green Lantern look even more shoehorned in
