  1. It's a developing story and some pretty major injuries. You're likely going to see the numbers fluctuate as some succumb to their injuries and all the news sites get trickled the correct and most up to date information.
  2. I thought they still closed at 5 in off peak hours? Or is this more of a closing at 4 to ensure everyone is out and the gates are closed by 5?
  3. I'm going to have to go on a tour sometime next year to check out all of these smaller parks that are suddenly going crazy with expansions and revamps
  4. Wait, so the GP don't check parkz daily to keep updated on ride closures? </s> I don't want to push any boundaries or cause more work but do we really need these daily/half daily updates clogging up the threads? At least they are mostly contained in their respective threads but I'm curious how the mods feel about it
  5. It may not be the full double cycle like the Skyloop can achieve but even that one extra travel through the station is great
  6. Only problem with this is that it would require Sky Voyager and possibly green bean to go down while they strip the entire facade to try and install a new, less jarring facade. Unlike the other buildings on Main Street that can be maintained/changed with a bit of paint and the occasionally replacement of some timber.
  7. We've already seen DW has the ability to bolt on 2D signage overnight (see Yellow Wiggle)
  8. That's a lot of time to repaint a tower. Surely there's much more going on. With extending the delay so far, I'd almost guess shipping delays on new parts. >Awaits this causing further 'new gondola' discussions
  9. If anything, you'd likely just be much more aware of any upcoming potential mechanical requirements for a $300k car, instead of waiting for the 'service light' to come on
  10. I'm hoping Dreamworld release some more concept images of how the areas will look in relation to their location in the park. If there is more to be revealed though, such as changes to Motocoaster, It would explain why we haven't seen these sort of images yet.
  11. As @DaptoFunlandGuy mentioned, it's likely the Wiggles PR team saw the old signage and wanted it updated before the Wiggles arrive for their performance. I highly doubt it would have changed if it was left up to Dreamworld and noticed by the Wiggles team
  12. So weird considering that's probably the most put together part of the ride. Theme Parks do have a history of providing slightly misleading information or not the full story when it comes to situations like this. We just have to wait and see if they give any further updates or magically re-open the ride
  13. The rumour of this ride being moved is almost older than time at this point. We'd all love to see it at SeaWorld and current signs are looking more towards that happening. Whether or not it is make the move is yet to be seen or confirmed
  14. It's a bit shitty that they are doing this work over the school holidays. I guess we will see how they handle it around the school holiday crowds when they fully kick in
  15. I think the idea behind having the ops do the seatbelts is to reduce any risk of a guest hurting themselves or potentially doing it incorrectly and damaging something
  16. Sweet jesus! The white hands, the red hair and part of Emma's head still visible. Wow
  17. I had heard with the revamp they no longer needed someone stationed there because there was more extensive cctv monitoring done from the main booth now
  18. Thank you @Luke and @New display name That does make much more sense! I don't see why it's so hard to simply say, hey I think this is what they had in mind, instead of just shitting on someone for having an opinion. Hello @GoGoBoy, thanks for the welcome! It's been a slightly rough start already but I'm slowly getting a hang of the vibe around here the more I interact
  19. What the hell? I literally praised the ride in the next sentence and mentioned it was only a minor detail. I'm really sorry, I joined these forums thinking I could share my thoughts on theme parks without being called the reason parks dislike enthusiasts. Should I only be posting positive comments on these forums and keep my potentially negative personal opinions to myself?
  20. The only minor issue I have with the theming is where the coaster passes through the shed. If it's smashing into the shed, why does it look like it has smashed out of the shed? It works for the exit point but not so much the entry point. As I said, only a small thing though. The ride as a whole looks like a blast and I'm loving the elements that interact with the area such as the shed passthrough and the first dip below ground level
  21. I'm just glad they finally got guests on Trident. At least all 3 of the new rides have taken guests now, even if it wasn't on the same day. I hope they have these issues fixed by time school holidays fully kick off or their guest feedback is going to be more of a massacre than it currently is
  22. I swear I remember seeing someone doing heavy sanding when I last drove past, wouldn't need primer if it's a nice clean base to paint on
  23. They could have always done a cheeky open it a few days early for people in the park and don't make a big deal out of it. Then they aren't saying that it's open until the official date, there's no expectations and it would hopefully provide a bit more of a real world stress test than staff and contractor runs would
