  1. I think the nature of the ride (i.e. a big solid structure almost that looks like a bunch of I Beams) would get a lot of opposition. A more traditional coaster is somewhat more spread out so doesn't have as much impact on the skyline which seems to be the big issue. For example Storm is ok but the Eye wasn't. I still stand by my view though that whilst it's got big appeal that free fly isn't family friendly. It's the kind of ride that mums would say "no way I'm riding that thing" as opposed to something that looks a bit more 'fun' like say a spinner.
  2. Dark ride is a block so you have 3 currently. Load Dark Ride Launch Launch and Unload are in the same block. You ou could easily make the Dark Ride 2 blocks but yes you could end up with weird stacking.
  3. Panic room is a family attraction? I hate the idea of adding a free spin. It's not at all the 'family friendly' type or attraction suited to Sea World.
  4. There's a lot of sets of hold down bolts left in the compound!
  5. And did the staff manage to succeed in their planned 2am mission to scare the crap out of everyone??
  6. An E-Stop stops all motion instantly as it removes all 'energy' from the system.
  7. Personally I would be very surprised to see the ride ever re open. Whilst popular it is also an aging ride that is very expensive to run and this tragic incident has probably sealed its fate. Other rides have killed people and reopened yes, but with far for reason to than TRRR has. Coukd be an end to that entire area of the park with the idea of putting the tragedy behind them. In this time though, regardless of if it was your favourite ride, or how sad YOU might be, four people lost their lives today and it would be a horrific time for anyone who knew them or was involved. Perspective is important.
  8. Only one cave at Jenolan has coloured lights which is the Chifley as it was the first in the world to be lit with electric light and the coloured section is kept as a bit of a historical piece from what they used to do back then. There is a tiny section in the Lucas cave also. Much has been done at Jenolan in regards to cleaning some of the areas affected by humans over the years when they weren't as protected. What happens in the oils from the skin turn the crystal black. It's not 'dead' but until new crystal forms over the top it will stay black. The problem is the crystal growth rate can be as low as 1mm every 100 years. #somewhatofajenolanexpert
  9. Woah that's rediculous! Its a shame it wasnt listed for protection. I agree, no reason why things couldn't be repaired or replaced, might have been expensive but we're not talking about the mine ride at Dreamworld here. This was a historic, unique and great coaster.
  10. The reason for the low numbers for the Cave tour would be that's the max people it's been determined the Cave's ecosystem can handle without causing damage. Those sort of caves are very fragile and just people breathing out CO2 and dead skin cells/clothing lint can do incredible damage.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if it wrote off the car and did zero damage to the support. These things are built like a brick shithouse
  12. Yeah I was just saying it would be funny if he was right after everyone jumped on him. I'm not sure if half what he said was true or not.
  13. I voted cause I really want a water coaster themed to chicken soup! Also I feel like all coasters have the potential for future VR in that they are more than capable. Im sure there are a few people here that know WAY more than me. After all, all I say way back was that it would be awesome.
  14. Be hilarious if the guy turned out to be right in the end.
  15. Nah in all honesty I did read that as one of the perks but didn't see anything else on how it worked and didn't want to be a dick on a peak summer day.
  16. I'll complain then! One thing we don't need more of is friken Vegans!
  17. What? You don't need to get off? Why didn't anyone tell me when I was there
  18. Twisted Colussus is one of my favourite ever coasters and it's not tall at all. It's not the height, it's what you do with it. #thatswhatshesaid
  19. Given there is road access everywhere and you can't exactly load warehouse goods into the park when it's open anyway it doesn't make any difference where the warehouse is. Hell the retail warehouse isn't even on site!
  20. There is MASSIVE space behind west. Just at the moment it has some hills and also a large boneyard that runs all the way back to the Paradise Country road. Like I said, quite a bit of work. But all doable for a cost.
