Thanks for the 3D for Dummies explanation. If I wanted to read Wikipedia style facts and information I would go there. There is a counter argument for all of your points but I can't be stuffed. But I will point out that in no way does any of your post prove 'it doesn't work outdoors' Please don't try and teach me how projection works... I shouldn't have to say more

What does RealD's technology have to do with outdoors? It's all to do with the screen surface, nothing to do with the environment. You really are an expert on all things, master at none aren't you?

Joz is rigjt. Roughness aside the layout sucked! After the two loops it was all over.

Regardless of if it's correct or not I just said that it made sense. Which it did. HMI- Human Machine Interface ie the controls of the ride

Well that makes complete sense.

I've written enough cleverly worded fiction in my time convincing people to spend large sums of money Id probably perfect for journalism -
Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas Soft Opening To Gold Pass Holders
rappa replied to S.W24's topic in Theme Park Discussion
What are the tickets? We're they for that specific day or a season pass? If its a season pass people are idiots. You can't expect the park to only sell as many passes as the park holds and you can't be pissed that other people had the same moronic idea you had of going on opening day. But hey, media loves a beat up story. Alternative story/headline "New Waterpark Opens to Capacity Crowd" If there was any doubt surrounding Village Roadshows decision to reintroduce Las Vegas to the Wet n Wild brand they were soon laid to rest today with the opening of the companies new Waterpark in the US. Management were forced to shut the gates a mere two hours after opening as the popularity of the park saw it reach capacity. Whilst county laws allow the park to let in additional patrons, management made the decision to cut off admission in the interest of guest satisfaction and safety. The Waterpark will remain open through the summer season and is the first time the city has had a Waterpark in a decade since the previous Waterpark located on the strip closed. -
If they've got photos of the PLC HMI Screen then clearly someone on the inside of the factory is leaking the photos out which doesn't surprise then that German's know more than us.

It looks cool, I just wouldn't call it a racer. IMO if you want to race the most enjoyable is the good old aqua racer at gold coast. You want to see who you're racing.

Umm firstly Footers do not exist. They are called Footings and they don't arrive in site. They are created and built (ie poured) into the ground. There's some rebar in that photo but that could be for any concrete works.

I definately dont think they would be making this kind of post if they weren't realistically considering putting a new coaster in. They of course probably have no intention in the world of actually using a submitted design, but you'd have to be the stupidest social media marketing person ever to put such a thing out there if it wasn't on the cards.

Could be anything, perhaps there is a construction delay with land reclamation. Or if it is animals a quarantine hold up. It's obviously something unexpected, hence the date change.

In my opinion that's no where near enough time for Disney World. Hell I think 3.5 days would be pushing it. Unless there is something you really want to see I would suggest investing your time in Universal, Sea World and Wet n Wild and skipping Disney altogether. If anything, spend 1 day at Epcot as that is really the unique offering.

Yeah can people just stop with all the snarky comments. I've seen so many posts lately from people who clearly think they are some kind of big shot regular putting down rare or first time posters. I'm going to start deleting posts if the attitudes aren't pulled back a couple notches.

Not a competition, but also not really news given we already knew it was a coaster.
-
Pretty sure I said that forever ago

You're probably pretty safe. Village rarely takes whole rides down in feb. More they will start train rebuilds for the multi train coasters so capacity might go down but the rides 'should' all be open. The schedule will be online well in advance of that though.

I really think its hardly a big deal. Point is it ran for a LONG time

I attend pretty much every industry trade show in my profession. I will stop, chat and drink with the major players there. But that's mostly catch up cause we own much of their product. Doesn't mean I'm buying anything. Plus if you are a big player you don't need to make purchases at trade shows, they come to you.

GREAT post Richard... And you don't even need to say who the third statement was from, I love that.

They can't kill Speedy's... it's the last original ride left!! And yes whilst the ride buildings have all been clad the same, most of them aren't insulated at all. At night when Scooby is running and there is no other sound in the park you can here the cars running around and the lift cycling from anywhere in the park. Over at the soun stages the walls are a good 6-10 inches thick, full of insulation and even feature air locks when you enter to stop noise entering or exiting the space. You can run up a full fright nights maze, with audio running at maximum level and hear nothing outside the building with the doors closed. As a side note, the SOUND STAGE numbering on the ride buildings was only added in recent years as an upgrade to theming, it wasn't even always there. If you look closely at the Scooby main coaster section building you will see the original height of the building (basically it matched the other building) and where the additional was added on.

It's a massive shed, if the seating was leveled down you'd have a big space but it would be perfectly suited to a Soarin type ride but I'm not sure what else. Best choice is probably an indoor/outdoor attraction.
