myk 5 Report post Posted September 16, 2007 (edited) So what's better than a perfect 10? Hersheypark 2008 This is the advertising scheme that Hersheypark USA have made to draw coaster enthusiasts in for their 2008 addition. Many are guessing that because of the title "perfect 10", the park will get another coaster (so it has 11) or the park will break the record of the most inversions on a coaster (10). However, too add to the mumbo jumbo of secrecy, Hersheypark has apparently created this site: Nantimi.com to obscure the truth. Of course Nantimi unjumbled spells Intamin. It's got coaster enthusiasts going crazy. There has been many clues on the site: http://nantimi.com/iiiiiiiiiii.html Of course the announcement is on the 27th and this letter indicates the 26th. The link to that picture is titled /themtraveledThru. Unscrambled, this means truthRevealed.html Then, put that into Nantimi.com/truthRevealed.html and you get to: http://nantimi.com/images/1007sm.gif There have also been various links placed around the site, the latest is to [email protected] That's why people are guessing an Intamin Hyper for Hersheypark. I wish Australian parks would go out of their way to advertise their new rides like this! Edited September 16, 2007 by myk
Dylaan 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2007 I guess Australia doesn't have anywhere as many nerds, so there efforts would probably only attract people who'd visit anyway... It'd be nice if they announced the opening date a bit earlier, but it doesn't really matter. For those few interested, I decompiled the flashing image. It's got some waterslides with a giant cross over them, so that'd be where it's going, some intamin track and some squiggly stuff... Just wondering, is this definitely made by the park? Gazza 1,261 Report post Posted September 16, 2007 A bunch of TPR people have worked through it if you feel like short cutting through the clues, http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewt...c&start=310 One of the clues was a puzzle:
myk 5 Report post Posted September 16, 2007 Well it's not proven but I guess we will find out soon. Btw if you flip that blueprint sort of thing over from the flashing image it clearly shows a coaster layout.

jcgoldcoast 21 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 Well there was a preview tonight for a select few people who had completed major parts of the puzzle and the ride will be announced to the public tomorrow at mid day. The coaster will be an Intamin coaster, feature a vertical lift hill as well as 6 inversions. It seems to be similar in style to Maverick, although with no launches. Churros 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2007 Ok... this is officially my new favourite coaster that I havn't had a go at yet (replaces Maverick). That is unreal!
Gazza 1,261 Report post Posted September 30, 2007 Yeah, it looks like a fantastic ride, though it does really highlight the amount of copying that goes on in the ride industry with new innovations, I mean motorbike coasters started off with Vekoma, but Intamin and Zamperla jumped on the bandwagon. Now these vertical lift/ >90 degree drop coasters with tight layouts and short trains from Zeirer and Intamin seem to be stemming from the original Gerustauler Eurofighter. Psycho 2 Report post Posted October 8, 2007 Farenheit looks like a great addition - and the price tag of $US12.1 million means it is within the price range of Australian parks. Great way to get a lot of inversions into a relatively compact footprint.
