  1. Today
  2. Probably should have been filmed across the road but I can understand why it wasn’t with another reality show currently being produced across the road.
  3. You'd require all of production to be set in that space during the broadcasts, plus many runs of fibre and so on to get back to the OB Trucks/Suites. Would be a huge mess having that area so far away from the rest of the production lot. Plus, it would most likely require changes that would prohibit it from running during park hours... You'd spend less money putting up a temp truss roof instead of trying to use that space.
  4. TBH i'm surprised they didn't utilise the Dreamworld Theatre. the video wall would easily changeover to BB styling for broadcast. (Maybe that's their wet weather plan for the future)
  5. Having outdoor stage with no roof on a live tv show on qld was so silly . When it rains it rains ! im sure they are considering a temporary fix . Cant sit there on a stage in the rain after evictions with umbrellas?
  6. Can you feed it to us on a spoon, because other than playing Rugby for the bedford blues and a Zambrero empire spanning two countries - what else is there to find? (Just to be clear here - I'm not rubbishing the Z - just asking for more info.)
  7. Yesterday
  8. Big difference between a half billion dollar resort project and opening Zambrero restaurants.
  9. It's hard to tell what you're indicating - but taking our lead from most of your posts shitting on the park, it was a fair assumption that your post was intended to ridicule. The emoji didn't alter that.
  10. Bearing in Mind this was a year ago when I was there, I remember Dreamworld and WWW shutting lines at park close, (1700+line length) and MW shutting lines to get out at park close (1800-line length). In an Ideal world both parks would be open later, but that is obviously unsustainable.
  11. the launch cables seem to be installed back in place and all the tags and ribbons across the track have been removed, my guess is the major issues are sorted and testing shouldn’t be too far away.
  12. it's in a "studio" so it makes sense to make use of existing rigging where possible for lighting etc. The US/european houses are like that too. It's only that living area that has the function centre ceiling exposed, the bedroom, bathroom, diary room etc are all have ceilings from what i've seen in little snapshots
  13. While Australia has typically had a 'traditional' house with ceilings and the like, there are plenty of versions internationally shot on sound stages that have nothing but trussing and rigging overhead.
  14. They’ve done very well with the house given the confines of the area they had to work in. Time will be the test on how well it is received and whether future seasons are ordered. One will think if they are, they won’t want to go to the efforts of pulling it all down and it may stay a permanent fixture. The decision to have an outdoor stage for the shows however was proven horrible with the weather for the entry on Saturday night…
  15. From what I'm aware, Sky Voyager and SX360 ran into issues due to the changing regs around that time. Without directing anything at particular manufacturers - they may assume they are compliant with Australian regs without realising they have changed. They can provide assurance they meet the standards without becoming aware that those standards changed. At any rate, i've simply put forth a suggestion on why, based on historic examples. i'm not suggesting it as fact, nor should it be read as so. Feel free to put forth your own suggestions on why the ride has essentially sat for months.
  16. Sea World skews younger. while the park is busy, the younger families tend to drop off earlier in the afternoon and the park is a lot quieter close to closing. Without a night event to anchor later attendance, I don't see much merit in SW operating later, and there isn't much point opening earlier if maintenance and animal services aren't ready.
  17. WWW is never ending missed opportunities. 😢 But SW hours are even more cuckoo. 😱
  18. Who's buying a ride that doesn't already comply to Aust regs?
  19. I went last year to every park, the week before Christmas and didn't find one busy park. 🤷‍♀️
  20. I tested that theory last year by visiting before Christmas. It was wrong. Sure - holiday traffic doesn't arrive, but the local passholder crowd are there in droves.
  21. My thoughts are different manufacturers having different capacity to address these issues in a timely way - though i've no idea which manufacturers are involved for most flats.
