There is zero financial sense for Disney in opening a park here. We won’t have the population, nor the international tourist numbers, to make it viable let alone profitable.9 points

I personally miss the entire Gold Rush area at Dreamworld. I personally enjoyed being in a western themed area because in my opinion, there was a great atmosphere there. Unfortunately now the only thing that remains from the Gold Rush area is BuzzSaw.4 points

For me it’s definitely Bermuda and Looney Tunes River Rapid. I went on both of these as a kid when they were in their prime and loved them. If they were still at the parks today, I would probably try to ride them on every visit.4 points

ToT hasnt been gone long enough to be missed really. ditto Wipeout, not that I will ever long for that to return and it’ll be like for like (basically) replaced by Vortex. I do wish I could ride Bush Beast again, but I’ll be getting a better replacement in the next 12 months in Leviathan. LTRR & BT in their glory would be welcomed attractions in any park in the country. I’ll always hold the nostalgia and fun of those in my heart, and I only wish my son had got to enjoy them. tbh and I’ll probably get boo’ed for this, but my most missed rides are some of the flats that were at Wonderland that I grew up on and loved. I’m sure nostalgic value in my mind escalates these beyond what they were, but rides like the Tassie Devil and HMS Endeavour were fun, exciting, family friendly but still thrilling and don’t have similar counterparts anywhere.4 points

Having a population of 1 billion people vs 25 million certainly helps... as does being surrounded by other populous nations that don’t require long haul flights to reach you3 points

And if we did get one, it would be at the scale (if not smaller) than the Hong Kong one. And people here would not be impressed by a ‘small’ Disney park. Especially when the general public only ever see the American ones in the spot light3 points

According to Blooloop.com, Disney fans are petitioning to the Walt Disney company for there to be a Disneyland in Australia. Do you think this petition will succeed? Or will it been ignored?2 points

I also miss the original scooby doo spooky coaster because it was a better experience than those projectors that are the WORST in my opinion2 points

The event is back again, but this year it’s only on for two nights (so far). But so far it seems Lomé the event will be very much the same as last year https://www.dreamworld.com.au/what-s-on/happy-halloween/1 point

I don’t care that it was a rattley old rust bucket by the end of its service life but I do miss the thunderbolt, avalanche and the eureka runaway mine train at Dreamworld and of course in the other parks Bermuda, corkscrew Vikings, gremlins and the loony toons river ride1 point
-
I would say- Burmuda - in its opening form Looney Tunes Wild Wild West - pre fire Wizards Fury Tasmanian Devil1 point
-
I knew I forgot to mention something, Vikings Revenge was another great1 point
-
I'm gonna vote 1 for Bermuda, that was a sensational ride that is sorely missing in today's parks in regards to theming etc. The Looney Toons River Ride and hell even The Batman Simulator are things I miss1 point
-
I personally miss Vikings revenge flume because I grew up on that ride whenever we took the yearly trip up to the gold coast1 point

Disney have tried multiple times. Even if Australia wasn't an island in the middle of nowhere, the government aren't willing to throw "Disney money" around. Do remember Disney parks are generally 50/50 funded by the government during startup.1 point

Every single person who signs that petition is an idiot.1 point

I've actually met s3_gunzel in person. He's a nice guy once you get to know him, the problem is when one is on the spectrum and has an online presence, there's always gonna be a clash of personalities when they come into conflict with likeminded individuals. Believe me I know.1 point

@Brad2912 it definitely is a shame, but it’s not a surprise because the train is running until further notice1 point

There is some construction work happening on WWF entrance (Photo from TPSN)1 point

There are a few attractions that have been SBNO for sometime, but they never actually officially confirmed their closures1 point
-
The model is probably the most accurate representation of the track layout we have so far. Unless someone has managed to find the plans for it1 point

I’ve had confirmation which two rides are closing. I know we hate it when people say they know stuff, but then don’t say. But I will say, one of them is the obvious one and the other is nothing to worry about. It’s not any of the major rides/slides1 point
-
The only ‘evidence’ is that it’s one of the oldest rides in the park, it’s under maintenance until September and Gold Coast parks don’t like log rides any more. But it would be one of my top picks for a closing ride1 point

I really want them to get some sort of roller coaster but the cranky Karens have to complain about noise1 point

Sizzler seems to be replacing the moon ranger for the holidays and the tumble bug is not on the updated map as well as the mystery manor haunted house so this may mean that mystery manor will not be back as of the 6 of July, it does seem that the haunted house has been removed1 point

Can confirm there are fountains under the ride, they normally have them on during the day and can be seen, hoping like other topspins the fountains will go with the ride experience and shoot up with the ride.0 points
