  4. the only reason you should have more than one is if you're going to have dual \ duelling tracks.

  5. 100%. There is no reason to raise the bar when you set the bar in place in the first place. If VRTP released Atlantis as an entirely themed, immersive, world-class experience then it'd cause the rest of their property to suffer or feel dated so they almost have no incentive to do anything extraordinary especially when their primary goal is to satisfy shareholders.

  6. Saying 'by Australian standards' is like giving an encouragement award to the kid that turned up. Our parks aren't somehow randomly isolated from the world market and shouldn't just be given a pass because our personal standards in the last few years have dropped dramatically entirely influenced on the output that all our parks have given us. You also can't randomly put our parks into the Australian basket considering that every second piece of media from VRTP boasts it's additions as being 'world class'. If they say that they're world class, then they're competing with addition such as F.L.Y which opened recently at Phantasialand and that park sees less attendance then VRTP's properties so I'm not sure why we are congratulating the bare minimum requirement for what classifies as a 'theme park'.

  7. Not much effort to replace it with a new system though. It’s just a couple of towers, gondolas and drive system. skyways are still very big business today worldwide.

  8. Y'know, some form of skyway would be a wonderful way to get people from the front of the park to the middle...

  10. But before that, we said they spent way to much on MW for them to invest in SW for some time. And then they dumped $60 million on SW. Never say never

  11. Maybe after all the negative comments they got about TOT closing, they will just keep pushing its opening back and then one day it will be officially closed, but there won’t be any official post about it and it will be erased from existence.

  12. Doomsday and Green Lantern are also closed for a couple months too

  13. But there has been times in the past where a ride has had scheduled maintenance in the future but the ride just closes permanently beforehand

  14. I did some looking into your statement, one person commented saying it was ‘like a rotisserie oven on hot days’ and someone else replied saying that the whole of the park is hot (which I agree with). Because of all that concrete and lack of trees/shading does make that whole area hot, so hopefully during the return/expansion they resolve that issue. But in regards to your post ‘geh the complaints coming through’. I would say complaints and there was one person. One person. Who said it was hot. I definitely would say complaints are coming through. And no one mentioned air con. To resolve the issue, they just got to remove the Perspex. The ride already has bars, so no one can get through anyways. That simple.

  15. Yep, it’s great when your sat on the seating, but because it’s so close to the shoreline, it isn’t great when your anywhere else

  17. It was supposed to go where the new helicopter centre and the penguin encounter is I think it’s a good attraction for the park. It was not a good replacement for what was there beforehand. They classify it as a family coaster, which is definitely is. The track section is fine. The most disappointing part for me is the river part after the splash down. It just ends, when it should have snaked a little and built up suspension. And the load and unload should not be right next to each other because that ruins the point of the story they build. The ship is supposed to be flipped, but the sign and other theming is the right way up.

  18. Yesterday Superman Escape turned 14 and I was wondering for those who have been riding it for as long as it’s been around, what changes have their been to the ride since it originally opened. I know the water effect is hit and miss in recent times and they don’t have the smoke coming out of the pipes anymore, but is there anything else? Are there any changes or improvements to the ride overall you’d like to see?

  19. So you’re willing to pay 1000$ dollars over a arrow coaster well they are back shattering so understandable
