  1. Sorry - I've been travelling through the outback for the past two weeks. Rest assured we will resume our regularly scheduled programming on Monday.

  3. I think we are missing the real issue here... that VRTP lists Paradise Country as a Theme Park.

  5. I don’t know how or why I haven’t noticed this before, but how ‘great’ does the ride control booth look

  6. Don’t you mean it’s themed to a farm

  7. Nope. Seaworld started as a ski show and gradually added animals and rides. The heavy reliance on animals only came about in the late 90's. They had heavily themed rides like lassiters (which became Bermuda Triangle) long before there was any conservation message or animals were the main thing. DW and SW are both theme parks that are severely lacking in rides and good theming. But both are theme parks and this is a really stupid debate to be having.

  8. @Flynn_Smith pretty just said what I would. If you look back at history Seaworld Australia was set up as a marine park. Yes, there have added rides and attractions and I support that. But at the core of the business its not all about rides and slides. It is about animal conservation. Self-explanatory really.

  9. - Creature Cruise - Kevil Hill Walkthrough (Mummy Walk through, Tomb Raider Walkthrough etc. etc.) - Jump-o-planes - Giggle & Hoot Ride - Peter Brock's Garage - Troll's Village - Pay-per-watch Cinema - The Captain Sturt after they didn't use marine-grade woods.... - Wipeout post-refresh (Clearly a sarcastic post, fyi.)

  10. Even with a vaccine (which currently doesn't exist, and is likely not to have anywhere near the level of uptake required to make it useful if one ever does exist), 28 days without community spread is unlikely to happen. The 28 day thing gets Anastasia to the election day. I have no doubts it will be softened further or removed completely once the election result is decided (regardless of who wins).

  12. While the idea is good, it wouldn’t work. There is Topgolf, studios and AOS in between. Unless they took the concept that American parks have and use, for example a monorail system or even a constant bus service to connect them. I don’t think they should close it down, but it needs some major investments as really, it hasn’t been touched since 2012

  13. WNW has always been a miss for me when visiting the GC. I remember having a lot of fun there but considering it seems that VRTP forgot it existed they just haven't really done anything to bring me back in. I don't really feel the need to spend an entire day at a water park considering we have WNW: Lite in Sydney but if I want to sate my slide urges I'll just duck over to WWW whilst at Dreamworld. Good to see it's finally get some attention and I hope we get some well needed upgrades and additions.

  14. So glad to see something done and dusted bring torn down there and not just sitting rotting away. It’s funny it’s another park that’s meant to be ‘under new management’ but really seems the main place that’s happening is a few km down the road. Such a big change in the Oxenford parks in the last couple years and now seems WnW is getting the attention we’ve recently seen at MW.

  16. It is pretty wild that overtime as the parks have expanded and improved their offerings that the passes have technically gotten cheaper. I'd say the justification is that the more people they can get through their gates the better but I honestly wonder whether it's a quantity over quality issue? Also I agree that people would be outraged if they had to pay those prices for Movie World but I wonder why they got away with it back in the day. Has the quality of the park changed? $50 is way too cheap for a season pass. Hell even $99 is. I honestly can't fathom how they make a profit with those prices.

  17. Well that’s disappointing because that shop looked awesome, hopefully it’s just because work is being done to the shop and not because they are closing it

  18. In the Fun House Show promo they say there will be a clown (not the scary kind, we promise), could this be the return on Goldie?

  19. Considering the temple of Huey is reopening in a couple weeks and they haven’t started repainting them yet, I don’t think we will see them repainted until early next year. Instead they’ve just cleaned them for now and repainted the theming

  20. I like that they’ve made an effort along that path towards Tiger Island to fit the areas theming And I really like these promotional images they’ve got going. With the progress we’ve seen lately, the shaded seating area will probably be open in time for the holidays

  21. @Gazza Good. Nothing major to note, just a look of ground prep right now. Unfortunately the monorail is closed so we can’t get a view from that angle (and I imagine it will be until the coaster is completed)
