  1. Was just at a function hosted by the CEO of Luna Park, for Friends of Luna Park where a plaque was unveiled in recognition of their efforts. They are rebuilding wild mouse from the ground up. Capital is fully allocated for the project now.

  2. Superman Escape now has modern TV's in the queue (that were turned off, but it's a start! All the effects were working Also shout out to the great operations, probably the most efficient I've ever seen SE. The team were doing a fantastic job and were really friendly.

  3. You mean good to see VTP paying 7 news for a fully planned and scripted segment on prime tv and socials. I’d call it a fluff piece to attempt to dim any negativity in the market surrounding off-peak ride closures and maintenance blow outs Suggest you tell your relatives to move on. There’s been a global pandemic, a war and a worldwide economic shitshow since then

  7. Thought this would be interesting. 7NEWS did a report tonight how Sea World does their safety checks on Leviathan. https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSBrisbane/videos/161828793507319 Some information to unpack there: Leviathan is the most high tech ride at the park Daily track inspections take around 5 hours and start from dawn Processes “are similar to what you would see in the aviation industry” 3 cycles are done to check speed etc. The data from the tests are sent to the engineers to determine if the ride is safe

  9. Ngl this is awesome. Will definitely give the ride decades more of life. Incredible they are doing another big spend so close to the 30M they just spent (can’t remember the exact number). Might not be open for another 3-5 years though depending how quick they get into it. Heritage listing adds many complications. If I could ask for one thing it’s that the original cars are kept or exact clones. Modern cars/trains? would be a bit of a shame but I guess “safety” is a concern. It’s operated for around 70 years no dramas though. I hope they give it a more permanent feeling station building. In a similar style to big dippers. Very exciting to hear that’s happening though! Must mean the return on investment to the park was decent. one thing to add though. I remember someone telling me once the man who built the mouse originally made 3 units. But someone else made Aussie worlds mouse. But then according to RCDB the same guy made both. Does anyone know which is true?

  11. That's properly shit if the unique uniforms for Superman and West are gone. The others literally don't matter. Not sure who needs to hear this, but a generic polo that says 'Storm Coaster' or 'Green Lantern' is not a themed uniform. I'll also say, I've HATED the teal trimmed shirts for a long time, along with the dark navy shorts. Worst uniform by a mile, so while i still despise the Generic branding, I much prefer the plain black with the bright shorts. The old black on black looks like something that only a cleaner or a warehouse person should have worn, and the teal didn't really add anything. If the trim was in other colours, and it was park/department specific it could work, but not a fan of just the teal for everyone. Plain black is significantly better for my taste. Still not what I'd go with, but I prefer it. As for non park branding, welcome aboard the bandwagon! I've been driving this thing since about 2010.
