  1. Yeah I don't see the point of a poll if the thing isn't open. Is there going to be a poll next week of Jungle Rush vs Something?

  4. I was trying to improve my Mangrove Jack fishing technics last night by resorting to watching YouTube videos because this year's season of Jack fishing has shattered my confidence with endless donuts. After the first video, a suggestion popped up, that I should watch a video on an abandon six flags amusement parks. My ADHD quickly kicked in which made me completely forget why I was watching YouTube in the first place, which led me to a late night watching abandoned park videos. It got me thinking, how many other people have ventured into old theme parks? When I was young whipper snapper after Brisbane’s Expo88 theme park closed down, the site laid dormant for many years. The park’s rides were removed but many structures remained. The offices/storage areas which were under the theme park remained too. I don’t know why I was in South Brisbane with my mates because back in the day, South Brisbane wasn’t a safe place to be in but we were walking past the entrance and realised the roller door that coved the entrance was missing and you could freely trespass inside. Trespass might be a strong word because as we entered, police rode past on their bikes and said nothing to us. (to us, that was a green light) I think we spent a good few hours exploring the old park, it felt like we were back at the park when it was open but only we didn’t go on any rides. (because there was none😵🤦‍♀️) When I look back on the juvenile trespassing experience it was a great & strange experience at the same time. After exploring the main park area we decided to explore the offices that ran underneath the park. (For people who don’t know much about the park, Expo 88 Fun Park was an elevated theme park and under the theme park had storage and offices. See Parkz attached photo to see how the park was elevated above the street). We entered the start of the underneath area which we thought might have been an old office and we came across loads of items that the park left behind when it closed down. It was like Christmas for a theme park enthusiast, from hats to Expo 88 Fun Park logos printed on cups. After exploring the first room we moved into the next room filled with anticipation on what we might find next when my friend yelled. “Get out!” I have never run so fast in my life and I didn’t know what I was running from but from what I heard in his voice, I knew he wasn’t joking. We ran all the way out of the park and onto the sidewalk. Once he got his breath back, he informed us people were sleeping on the floor. I didn’t end up with one souvenir from that trip to Expo88 Fun Park but running through the theme park, back onto the sidewalk, I had never been more scared in a theme park. I guess the old girl, still had one thrill left in her. Expo 88 Theme Park overlooking street. Video that started my YoutTube marathon.

  5. I don't mind the low mount angle, but on the subject of stuff that doesn't matter, the videos with the stabilised horizons drive me crazy.

  6. That kinda stuff is what’s missing nowadays. People underestimate how much of an impact these type of things make.

  7. Yes I thought it was awesome and it really stood out to me as it would to anyone because it’s unique like you said you don’t need to ride 500+ coasters to know what type of coaster you enjoy. Some people like Taylor from coaster studios have ridden 500+ coasters so after ridding over 50 hyper coasters DC rivals probably would start feeling like all the rest while leviathan feels more unique and special because of the theming even though ever element on it can probably be compared to other coasters they have done, the theming can’t be compared with anything . And since there’s no original theming or story on DC rivals they can probably compare the drop as not as good as “ect” and the non inverting loop feeling like “ect” They probably aren’t going to rank ST very high since they did the clone but for me ST is my 2nd favourite coaster. You don’t need to ride 500+ coasters to know what you like but if you do ride over 100 coasters your every day out and back layout would get repetitive. Thank you let’s do that. Yes orphan rocker is getting a lot of publicity lately major YouTubers have done stories on it such as expedition theme park and I think defunct land did a video too Does the worlds steepest scenic railway count as a roller coaster? It uses gravity on the way down

  8. I don't need you to explain to me, what other people are saying. If JHUNT2 has something to say about what JHUNT2 thinks, I'm happy to engage but if it's all "He's not saying" "He never said you did" I would rather talk to @Reggie74about what he thinks.

  9. You missed the point again. He's not saying anyone with a credit count under 500 doesn't know what they like. He's saying because theirs is so high and they're so well-travelled, they've ridden coasters from every major manufacturer, in probably every major model, experiencing pretty much every common element and a variation on pretty much any layout. That means that it is far more likely that a coaster would stand out for them because of the theming, which is probably completely unique to that ride, than the layout, which is more likely to be similar to something they've ridden before. That doesn't mean that Coaster Studios or any other well-travelled enthusiast won't occasionally find a coaster that surprises them with the ride experience, and it also doesn't mean that an enthusiast with only 50 credits won't know what to expect from a coaster. He's just saying that he expects they were more impressed by Levi's lighting package and theming, which is far more unique than the coaster itself. It's not that deep, he's not insulting you for not having 500 credits.

  10. Missing the spider is indicative of the poor lighting in the room prior to your "Acid trip" upgrades. Though, if you're calling that an acid trip, you obviously haven't tripped on acid.

  11. Don't do two polls. i was keen to vote JR vs MDMC but did not wish to vote for the boomerang, but both must be voted to count. Only do polls on rides that are open AND exist. theoretical builds, SBNO or rides since demolished or removed shouldn't be included. If you're struggling to come up with combos, ask the group in this thread for suggestions.

  12. Really uneasy at any attempt to rank coasters based on watching a POV. I've ridden Tweestryd and the LPS Boomerang so I feel qualified to vote – but I don't think people should be judging without actually riding.

  13. For what it's worth, I have a coaster count of over 3000 at this point – and I can say that I've never ridden anything quite like the roller coaster at Green Valley Farm
