  1. Reanimated is right, the car is supposed to come out much earlier than it did, so it was probably a timing issue somewhere along the line.
  2. pin142 is correct, some of the cars are stored in the maintenance track which can be seen through the door on the right of the station.
  3. On Dough Bros, we had some a month or so ago. Decent amount of toppings, but I found because of the amount of toppings, it was cooked too long, and the base itself was dry, and rather disgusting. Anyone else have the same thoughts, or am I alone? On the river, well, with no boat running to churn and keep movement, it makes keeping the river visually clean more difficult. Rivers and ponds out in the wild without water movement do look like this, and yes, there are turtles and other animals in there, but that is their habbitat. Honestly the river is clean compared to what they are able to survive in. On the other hand, fish need food, and the plant growth acts as a food source for the fish (ever been to an aquarium and seen people buying plants to put in their fish tanks?). If the fish have no food, the fish die, if the fish die, the turtles don't have a food source, so the turtles die. The growth isn't the prettiest thing, but it isn't the worst thing. The bad thing is the rubbish the human life have thrown in there.
  4. Looks like the page has been updated ThemeparkGC, it was initially listed as 2013 (should have screenshoted it). Either way, someone is watching (hi there!) and has fixed the timeline so it sits in a neat table. Much nicer.
  5. Whilst we are on the subject of the Dreamworld website, I have noticed a few inaccuracies with the Dreamworld History page. http://www.dreamworld.com.au/en/about-us/dreamworld-history According to the timeline of events, the Steam locomotives were retired from service in 2011, not 2013 like they really were, Tailspin launched in 2013, Tiger Island in 1994. The spiel at the top also mentions that the Baldwin (red) locomotive was donated to the Woodford Railway, which is not correct, rather the Perry (green) loco was donated to that museum, whilst the Baldwin remains in park, and I'm sure there are many other examples. Whilst it is nice to see the park recognise its history (thank you!), it's a shame its not overly accurate.
  6. I can't wait to check it out for myself, it does look fantastic from what I have seen. The effort the seems to have been put refreshing the whole show is outstanding, but I have to admit I will miss the old music soundtrack, I have quite a soft spot for the old Man from the snowy river soundtrack.
  7. I actually hope they don't. Technical issues aside, I think our Justice League ride is just fine as it is. The story is original, and for once the villins aren't the same old Joker or Lex Luthor.
  8. So far so good. I was at DW for about an hour today, and whilst I don't know what WWW was like, Dreamworld was quite empty. Tailspin didn't even have the first switchback on the queue full.
  9. Its almost criminal to see the Baldwin (Cannonball Express) parked out in the weather like that, especially considering there is an empty line in the shed they could easily keep in. Its nice to see the Central cafe refurb is the whole shop, and not just the Pizza Portion. I will say the park has made some real nice improvements lately, hopefully it continues. Its just a shame we aren't likely to see the steam engine(s) return to service in the park.
  10. Cosmetically alone she is in a worse condition compared to when I last saw the engine, and between that period and now it has been parked inside the workshed. I am now wondering how bad the Cannonball Express is looking considering it has been parked outside the shed now for most of the year. Hopefully we see the Perry restored to a cosmetically and operational condition that can see her run for another 30 years.
  11. For those interested, the society where the Perry has been relocated to has posted some photographs of the big move.
  12. Going back on topic, I'm hearing Dreamworlds Perry steam locomotive (the green) has been removed from the park and is heading up to Woodford. It's another sad day for the park.
  13. Visit on a weekend? I'd say vintage cars won't be around much longer, at least in their current form.
  14. Gary, I beg to differ on vintage cars. People would notice, the attraction is still a family favourite among many, just like the steam locomotives are still missed by many 1 year on. I fear the vintage cars are on their last legs. Cars can be seen to have been salvaged for parts out back, and the condition of the engines on the track is dwindling. Yes they aren't as good in their new position, but they are still a decent family attraction and it would be a shame to see them go.
  15. Can someone please enlighten me what Arkham and Lethal have to do with Tailspin?
  16. It looks ok, but the scale on some of the buildings and features is completely off. Look how big the Scooby building is compared to the main street buildings. For those that don't know about scale, look at the Door on the Scooby Building, then look how big it is compared to the Roxy Theatre next to it. Anyway, these are just nit-picky things, i'm sure the kids and the kids at heart will love it.
  17. Your logic is flawed Tim. There's coke bottles everywhere at Dreamworld as well (or used to be). So by your logic coke is staying at Dreamworld, despite it quite clearly having just recently been replaced by Pepsi. I for one welcome the addition of Pepsi to the park. I honestly couldn't care either way for the differences between the drinks, but it shows park management aren't afraid to do things differently. It's a bold move. Now if only we had holiday world style free drinks!
  18. The guide rail is just that, a guide rail. The cars have a petrol engine in them. I'd imagine they are limited in power they can output. The cars at wonderland were the opposite though, they had an electric track and whilst you couldn't control the speed, you could steer.
  19. I counted more than 2 rides. Some sort of dark boat ride, the drop tower, ferris wheel and some sort of boat/ gondola ride. Overall looks like a decent concept. Would like to see it come to fruition.
  20. You mean you have a picture from the re theme of the fudge shop to the green bean coffee shop? The Coffee and Pizza shops will be 2 different shops.
  21. Little puff used to run on a track, and wasn't a road train. The only pictures I have seen from little puffs operating days were the promo shots.
  22. Very interesting to see the red train parked in the old station. Now, my question is where did the other 2 engines that the park had under the sea viper go to?
  23. It's funny, I remember a time people were complaint that Dreamworld had too many vibrant and conflicting colours in huge park (the Main Street facades for example). But now a flat ride has finally been given a decent theme, and has has been dirtied down to fit that theme (the rust) it's bad? Remember people, the storm was dirtied down with fake rust as well...
  24. That Funtime Trackless Train looks, ummm, awesome... They get 1 point for effort. Seriously it makes the Dreamworld Diesel look like a masterpiece!
