  1. let me just use my powers of telepathy to ask them.... They're saying that it varies by Country. In Australia - our 2015 financial year has already started, so it's only days away from release! Many other countries don't start until January though - so they'll have to wait longer. They also said if you enter the cheat code "subscribe" on your phone and send it to 199 55 00 32, Big Brother will let you inside the game for a day to ride all your own creations! /sarcasm We don't have any internal contacts at Atari. When they say 'early 2015' it's like Sea World saying 'Wild' opens 201345 never. They won't set a date until they're assured it's ready for release. As for PC MAC... here's a story. I worked for an organisation that developed a program. It was a popular program for many people, and users entered the multi-millions. Many Apple fanboys screamed for a MAC version, and for years, they said 'we are looking at doing one'. A year or so ago, they finally brought out a MAC version after spending thousands (a helluva lot) developing and testing.. In it's first 12 months, barely 200,000 MAC users used the MAC version of the program. Get a windows emulator. I'd rather they spent the extra on making the PC version rock-solid than diverting development funding on trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole.
  2. Considering another park has just closed an iconic coaster that just so happened to be right beside the OCEAN due to RUST... I think it fits perfectly... Bermuda also had quite a nice rust patina across the stationhouse and outdoor theming... I think it works....
  3. You don't need to spend a couple thousand... in park sign-writers, (Joz will love this)... an 'A-frame' and a few witches hats hazard barriers with signs saying "Justice League - Evacuation Centre this way" Put it up next to the green lantern sign. It will get attention.
  4. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for the park to mount a webcam somewhere out of reach focused on particular points of interest and time lapse them together for a cool interesting look at the park from a time lapse perspective... but that would require effort.
  5. I've never heard the detail about the thunderbolt incident... when did it happen? I recall Wonderland upgrading air-gates to 'full-height' jail-bars at one point... and i'm wondering if that incident had anything to do with it (because all wonderland's coasters were 'queue for the row you want' type stationhouses - similar to how lethal was before they introduced a grouper.
  6. That's it - time for WWW to get rid of everything except Wedgie, and the Triple Vortex. WnW - you're gonna need to lose white water mountain, super 8, both mammoths and well... most of the park really. It's all just too old...
  7. If disabled guests were to ride, they wouldn't use the old load elevators - for starters - there are a bunch of stairs before you get to that point in the queue... so if a wheelchair or the like was needed, i'm sure they'd just take the guest through the exit door.
  8. Sorry to repeat other's sentiments - but if LPS gets a Zacspin, i'll burn the park to the ground.
  9. The zipline's Launchpad isn't impeded by constrictor. I imagine it's "under maintenance" when it isn't staffed, and would only be an option in peak periods, given it's low capacity and high-staffing costs
  10. i usually leave it late. Sometimes when they put extra nights on due to demand, the 'late announced' nights aren't quite so busy. Also, like when 31 Oct falls on a sun-thursday they usually put a night on then, and being a weeknight its also a bit quieter (this time round is a friday, so that night is going to be hell!) The first night or two is usually a bit quieter, but the experience is also a little 'lessened' as the actors aren't yet in the swing of things. Not meaning to slur the staff who work on the event they all try their best and do a great job - but the first night or two they're still trying to get kinks worked out etc so it doesn't all run as smoothly.
  11. REALLY? I've taken on all three. X2 is definitely an experience in itself and I couldn't really compare it adequately - but in my opinion, the experiences were similar to Tatsu (although in a different riding position) and so smooth... Compared to Green Lantern? I don't think there is a comparison. GL's gondolas swing freely, whereas X2's are controlled to put the rider into a specific (read: comfortable) position throughout the ride. Riding GL to me, felt like a really out of control Zipper... a bad one.
  12. To be honest, I never saw the 'indoors' portion of Dino Island... I don't think it was necessary - the outdoor displays (done right) are sufficient as an attraction.
  13. Once they build this boat... how are they gonna get it out? Wait... the roof is cantilevered like Scooby Doo to vent smoke in case of fire?
  14. Wait... the PAINT is fading on Aqualoop? It's a translucent tube - it's not paint, its the colour additive to the plastic. Not much can be done to that except UV stabilisation during manufacture. Hands down it still appears as it should, and not dull faded colours across the road at Coomera... I wasn't aware the trap door was having chronic problems, but if so then it should be fixed up. Other than that, I'd like to see them reinvent the area where the beach volleyball courts are (since it's rarely if ever used). Despite the park sprawling over a large area, they are quickly running out of places to put things. I guess it's too late now with the introduction of the Mini WNW Jr, but i'd have killed the current kids play area, and put up something new inside the ring of Calypso beach, thereby freeing up that area (and all that is behind it) for further expansion. Oh well.
  15. "Let's all complain about a crappy store that sells crappy crystals and stupid hippy shit just because it used to be the HP store and they haven't done anything with it, but at least they've kept it open, and staffed." <park listens and brings the store into line with current park theming> "Let's all complain about them building a new store that stocks the same stuff as elsewhere in the park." <park decides it can't win. Calls every thing 'batman' to save on licensing costs. Batman fanboys criticise the park's choice of 'keaton' batman over 'clooney' batman.>
  16. For some reason I always walk into the queue at the same 'Jalapeno' moment when Scooby is bashing himself over the head with the metal tray, and leaving an indent of his face in it.
  17. Dammit Pin thats how rumors get started. Would somebody tell those facebook groups that they're building a boat inside show stage? ...and the foreman's name is 'Noah' ?
  18. The bucket funnel, the thomas face - I wonder if they can still mow the school oval while they drive around? Of course - the Checkerplate trailer just screams "train ride" to me. I do like the "grate" descriptions they've got too. Apart from the train, it seems like its a nice mobile carnival effort... just a shame the website wasn't given such attention!
  19. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Wild! is unsuited to that area. They need to find a large open plain area where they can really do it justice. Now - that spot would be great for a coaster - it has a long footprint suitable for an out-and-back layout - or better. I know they have a height limit, but god damn a good hyper would be amazing on the skyline... run it all around the park... sadly I know the money isn't there, but a good quality coaster, that isn't a one-trick pony and has good re-rideability (and doesn't get you wet) would be a good fit. Yes they've already got two coasters, and as I've said before they could do with some flats... but flats could easily fit underneath a coaster with the right pre-planning. That side of the park would do well to be developed into a whole new land.... rides, an anchor attraction and concessions. maybe opening something on that side would give them the opportunity to redevelop one (or more) of their current food areas, or perhaps actually do something useful with Dockside. Only time will tell.
  20. To be honest - when photos are posted on parkz, I look at them. External sites are generally inaccessible to me thanks to overprotective firewalls. And since I couldn't be bothered to pick up my phone and look it up that way... if they're not on Parkz, i'm not interested in looking. Just what we did need though - a facebook page for posting theme park photos and updates. Thats a niche market right there and you've filled it! Awesome job! On to serious topics - DW TV. Didn't they try that in Buzzsaw? Yep - I can see that lasting.
  21. It doesn't really take up that much room. It depends on how they lay them out - Sea World had them laid out along a long pathway through bushes and trees. It certainly was better for it to be 'natural' as well as spread out so each animatronic had it's own 'space'... Plonking them down on a plot of grass would be quite boring.
  22. ^i've said that in the past Flea - I have a lot of faith in where he comes from... i'm just needling for detail...
