Arkham Asylum - VR coaster at Movie World
pin142 replied to UpperCoomera's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Think you've taken this too seriously or something. I don't mind the whole bored from repetition theme. See it as no different from someone interacting the same way when this is applied to a checkout worker which I think is what was aimed for here. Will agree with the others in the worst thing was the accent and how it was varying. -
Why? I don't get why this should be the next manufacturer when there are so many other companies that do great rides yet to be represented in Australia. The third train idea, good in theory, bad in practice. The idea of spending money on something that will spend most of the time sitting around doing nothing isn't a great return of investment. The park won't always run two trains so also adds to the storage space.

Worst thing you can do is try and make it want to flip. After a few times you can feel what it is wanting to do, go along with this and it will result in it being easier to get a flip happening.

I don't know. Compared to central station in Brisbane the queue for Superman Escape is quite cool. -
New Dreamworld Patisserie & Grill "coming soon"

Ticketless paid parking? Long term in the main carpark free, short term closer to the area free two hours, pay for longer than 2 hours. -
Not exactly a Trekkie but damn that pre-show is great. Reminds me of what a real movie park should be like.

If that's the case I suggest trying somewhere from the burger places topic. Similar pricing, much better burgers. -

Somewhat standard pricing for burgers from places not at a theme park is around $11-15 so not really that much more. -

Here I was hoping for steak being a grill. If it's theme park level burgers I'll just go elsewhere. -

Can confirm the closing of Canon Hill as they have already removed the lanes from there. -
Sounded good until I saw it was a Saturday night.

It would seem mainly US bowling alleys too as this year in Queensland Kedron and Canon Hill are either closed or closing. They seem focused on the amusements and social bowling which is why co-incidentally there is a Kingpin and Playtime opening at Westfield Chermside as part of the new dining area precinct as part of the current centre expansion. Both Kedron and Canon Hill are also examples of a company not willing to invest in an outdated centre. Chasing the easy dollar (new centre instead of refurbishing an older one) seems to be the way things are done throughout Ardent at the moment. -
Skip X2, then say X2 is on your list of top rides in the park. WTF?! X2 is a must and make sure you allow time to ride it. It along with Tatsu will be the rides with the worst queues in the park. Do Full Throttle first (annual pass holders get early entry so this is something to consider buying if you get one cheap enough). Superman Escape is the only other ride that will have a decent queue length.

Advice? More days? Seriously attempting Magic Mountain in a few hours is a huge ask especially if you want to get on all of the coasters. As for Disney it may seem like kids stuff but there is a lot to do. Are you doing just Disneyland or also California Adventure as that will make the day even more rushed. Don't think I am the only one who says you can't do one and not the other when it comes to the Anaheim Disney properties. Flash pass and Fast Passes will be your best way to try and get the most out of the days. Probably the best advice outside of more days.

Maybe it is to prevent simpletons from falling and attempting to get money as a result. -
That and the green "tunnel" laser for the last drop. I am with @djrappa in saying the ride was much better with that final drop hidden properly.
