The great Escape slides were made in the early 90s/late 80s. Does anyone know if there is any twister slides left in Australia or was that the last one?

So the people who filmed AW by drone have uploaded a video of them with shots at both AW & the Maze. Also found a HD POV video of Goliath. -

@themagician I think another reason why they are not going for the thrill market as they know how costly it would be for them to compete with movie world. So they are going a different route. -

That said video. Note they said all the 9 big thrill rides will be online in the next month. That sound promising. -
Keep in mind attractions come with a 30 year life average from manufactures. So DC Rivals might not even be around then

Keep in mind they plan to open another 8 centres around Australia in the future. So this won't be the only one. I gather they want to make Top Golf like Bowling.

what new ride at movie world will we get next year?
Tim Dasco replied to alldinoman17's topic in Theme Park Discussion
MW won't be getting a new ride next year. They just built a massive Hypercoaster and need to see a return on investment before building another attraction. Plus Sea World needs more attractions. Both Sea World and WNW need some love before MW gets its next big thing. Remember MW got 2 new rides in 2 years. That's some major capital there. -

I have said it before and will say it agian. Don't move into a house near a theme park and complain about lights and noise. Unless they have been there since before the park was built they have no reason to complain. -

Hopfully they do it on the other side. This side seems a bit pointless facing the water tank.- 499 replies

Goliath - Adventure World’s new Intamin Gyro Swing

@XxMrYoshixX A few good points you made. Ever since Steve Stirich brought the park in the early 2000s they have built new ride after new ride. (Keep in mind a large chunk of the team was there before Mark joined including Andrew) From 2000 we got Rampage and in 2002 we got Power Surge. Then in 2003 we got kids cove phase one and phase 2 in 2004. In 2006 we got the Aqua racer followed by shotgun in 2008. Then it goes to your list above. You need to remember the decision to spend money comes from the board which the owners are on and its not just the CEO's choice. Adventure World is a different park from others judging by my talks at the Park with Ross (The GM) He said the parks strategy is long term and fluid. From rumours I have heard that MI-4 is still coming in 2019. I personally believe that will be in the form of a lazy river and then hopefully in 2021 a nice family coaster for MI-5. Keep in mind there is a lot of room at the front of the park now. Its pretty doubtful the park will ever go the way of second hand attraction due to whats happened with Inferno. (I have been stuck on that ride 2 times in a month ) -
The video was removed from the internet. But they climbed through the slides and walked on top of the slides. They also climbed the Jungle mountain and the ropes course. To sum up they did stupid stuff that if the had of fallen they would have died very easily.

So I did some searching and found the new TVC for Goliath! -
Here is the add from 1995 about the slides.

Not sure. I personally have never been on them. But I watched them repaint the slides. They are still green on the inside.

Maintenance is not done by construction companies but rather their maintenance team. Which a park always needs to have there when the park is operating. However just because you can't see someone working on the ride doesn't mean nothing is happening. -
They never replaced the slides they simply repainted them blue form the original green. I found a video of the slides from 1995. I haven't been able to find when they opened but they have been there at least 22 years since 1995.

From the video that was on YouTube from a guy who did an Andrew H I would say they are not being looked after at all and will likely be scrapped.
-
To add to that a few days ago at AW's Fright Nights. I was on the inferno when we were halfway through the ride cycle just finishing the second shot and we heard a bang. What happened was the rides breaks deployed to early so a sensor tripped and shut the ride down. So we had to wait for maintenance to come and re start the ride. Probs a max of 10 minutes. Nothing bad the ride re opened shortly after.

Would anyone be able to post and update of Adventure World with Goliath from Near Map?
