  1. The reason why TOT is so loud is people of the technology and engineering behind it all. Rivals is a traditional coaster for how the wheels run along the track, TOT is completely different. I’m sure new versions of this ride system are quieter, but it would never be silent
  2. From SWs Facebook: Get an exclusive sneak peek at the new Seal Guardians presentation coming soon to Sea World! For a limited time only, get a glimpse into our team and our sea lions preparing for the new preparation. Find out more - http://ow.ly/cIxh30hnRZ7.
  3. Today DWs carpark is 100% full, just driven through it to see how the crowds were, and I couldn’t see one single space. There was also still a queue to get into the park. Awesome to see, and probably one of the first times it’s been like this since the incident.
  4. Hahaha I was referring to its being on the maintenance page. But has now been readded
  5. WWF has been removed off maintenance page again. It was there this morning, and the ride wasn’t operating today.
  6. The new viewing area of Rivals is very popular, and is a nice space to sit in and watch the coaster run The news stand roofing is complete And finally, the AA alley is permanently open And they’ve opened up the gate at DD
  7. I too would love them to revisit these plans and make these ideas happen. I don’t see them doing all of this at once, but one new tower with two slides is my current bet
  8. I’d say they wouldn’t be able to fit anymore gondolas into the building, without investing even more money to make much larger. But I am very excited to see what the park does with this, and being right at the front of the park, should be very popular with everyone. Adding more slides into WWW is very much needed, so hopefully they build another tower for a couple more slides. And hopefully in time for next summer. WnW hadn’t added a slide for quite a while, so this could give them a one up on that park. And a dark ride to replace Mine Ride. Wooooo, I know someone on here will be particularly happy with that news. I can’t see it happening for another couple of years, but still great to here they have plans. Great to see the park will be developing and that Ardent are willing to invest some money into the park. Let’s make Dreamworld great again.
  9. DREAMWORLD’S FLYING START TO 2018 WITH NEW WORLD-CLASS ATTRACTION ANNOUNCED The thrills keep on coming at Dreamworld, with a unique new attraction set to open in late 2018. The yet-to-be-named ‘i-Ride’ flying theatre by Brogent Technologies will be the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and will be housed in Dreamworld’s former I-MAX Theatre. Sway, surge and roll as you embark on an immersive journey of the Australian landscape aboard a 10-seat gondola, suspended over a hemispherical screen. You’ll even get a range of special effects such as wind, sound, light, mist and various scents to enhance your 4D simulated ride experience. The ride will be similar to existing attractions such as FlyOver Canada in Toronto and Voletarium in Europa Park, Germany and promises to be lots of fun for the whole family. With rides for all thrill levels, wildlife experiences, live shows and presentations, cultural displays and a water park, Dreamworld truly is so many worlds in one!
  10. I doubt the reopening of WWF being delayed has anything to do with RHLR and it’s ‘cage’. I think the reason is they are tying to ensure the harness system is more adequate, because as someone has mentioned, if a bigger person is sat next to a smaller person, that smaller person could easily get up or out and fall into the water. The main thing I believe they are scared about happening. Look how quick they closed Vikings Revenge. Yeah it was an old ride, but it was truly due to the river rapids incident. VRTP don’t want to take any risks, and want to insure that WWF is as safe as it can possibly be for everyone, and ensure that no one can just ‘get out’ if they really wanted to, for whatever bizarre reason.
  11. Come on DW, lets start 2018 with everything open.
  12. I agree @AlexB I was comparing the photos between this year and last year, and nothing has changed in regards to the placement of things. But they are bringing the Aquacolour show which should really add to the event, and be the much needed improvement compared to this years. Providing there is plenty of street entertainment and they try and connect the spaces well, then it should be a good event
  13. I forgot to mention that it had reopened a couple of weeks ago when I visited. I hadn’t been in it for years so couldn’t remember what it used to be like. So can’t comment on what they’ve improved
  14. Great idea MW, and should spread the crowds out that gather in front of the rides entrance.
  15. The 3 rides currently closed at the park, Wipeout, RHLR and Shockwave are all currently scheduled to reopen on New Years Day. Which would mean that Jan 1, 2018 could be the first time that every single ride at the park have been operating at once. Come on Dreamworld, no more delays, make it happen. Start 2018 right.
  16. A look at the preparations and theming throughout
  17. Checked out the area this morning, and must say that it has been really well done and was very popular. There seems to be plenty of shading and seating at the moment, but I can see the need for even more over the coming weeks. The area was very colourful and I think its a great replacement for the water park. One slight issue I have though is, despite the volcano being very impressive when down in the area, and from a few aspects throughout the park. If you go higher up, or even from some positions in 'The Reef' area, the illusion of the Volcano is ruined. Which is a real shame because it does look great, but when it looks like its been chopped in half or just randomly placed there, not so much And heres just a look at the information sign
  18. *******Topic duplicated for some reason, please delete this one.******
  19. As has been occurring with Movie World, there have been a number of improvements happening around Sea World lately too. Fast Track is no longer available at the park, with signs being replaced by Fast Photo The Frozen Coke stand in The Plaza has received an upgrade The Dolphin Aqua Adventure has been refurbished The decking around the Nickelodeon Store has been replaced And the Seal Guardians set is now complete and staff were meeting and discussing the new show Really bright and vibrant now There is a cave in the far left corner There is a pontoon bridge through the middle, quite a few props on the left stage and two cables with balls attached to them hanging across the water A few other things to note or I believe should be done: - There is still no 1 hour free locker hire for Storm or Jet Rescue (Hopefully this is implemented for these rides too) - More shading should be added around JR as its quite an open area of concrete - As posted yesterday all food stores and outlets were open when the park was closing, and can confirm all stores were open when the park opened.
  20. Went to WNW today and they’ve updated their Fast Track too so it is similar to MW. Theirs is $124
  21. Preparations have begun with the floats in position and the Plaza being decorated
