  1. I personally can't think of any particular rides that would possibly close within 10 years. Yes there are a couple which aren't running as well or as popular, but I can't necessarily see them closing. Rides that could have closed have had major refurbishments, so I think the majority of the ones that have been listed are safe for now. But instead I'm going to provide my realistic thoughts on changes and additions made to our parks within the next 10 years. Movie World: HWSD2 is replaced 4D Show continuously replaced Kids WB area undergoes refurbishment adding an additional ride or two Superman Escape undergoes queue area and pre-show refurbishment Green Lantern repainted DC Rivals receives VR Sea World: Castle and 3D Theatre removed Vikings Revenge replaced New show on the Lake New attraction/s attractions on the SV and reclaimed land sites WnW: Whirlpool Hot Springs removed New tower constructed at the back of H2O Zone (Left of the Blackhole) Surfrider possibly moved to SW Dreamworld: Goldrush Country - I think the Gold Rush country theme is kept, but the area is expanded replacing the Blue Lagoon area - Reservoir drained and filled, new attraction installed, pathing reworked - bringing new life to the entire area of the park. Big Red Car ride refurbished or rethemed Dreamworks area gets new theme Connection into WWW reworked to make the parks have a smoother connection Kevin Hill removed, new attraction installed and utilises the Trolls Village area WWW New tower at the back of the park (Either maintenance land or replacing The Shell) feature two slides - On this note, Kevin Hill may become a maintenance/storage shed, so the gravel area becomes fully usable for a WWW expansion.
  2. And I think ‘the show’ aspect began to be lost when uniforms changed. It’s great that some of the rides have unique uniforms still, but the uniforms for the ticketing, retail and some rides have lost a bit of magic. Even if it was just the ticketing staff at the front of the park who had unique uniforms it would add to the apparent movie magic (which in many cases has been lost).
  3. Or neither of these, and it’s possibly just extended maintenance, due to some technical issues
  4. Staple or Stapling A negative term used to describe the action of a ride operator ratcheting down a lap bar or other restraint or tightly cinching a seat belt, thereby making a rider uncomfortable. By restricting movement, overly "stapling" riders also reduces the sensation of airtime. https://www.tripsavvy.com/roller-coaster-terms-a-to-d-3224464
  5. Nope, last year it was just the usual 4 weeks. But it had been originally scheduled for 7 weeks, but was changed about a month before it’s schedule
  6. I reckon this is a plant because ive seen footage of how much water is poured down onto the person, and I doubt the park would want a guest to get that soaked through volunteering for something. I don't even think you get that wet on the storm coaster. And I doubt someone would go on their phone while in front of the crowd for something like this and coincidentally full their phone out just as the water is poured down.
  7. So I visited the park today and they now have signs on these two food stores saying that are seasonal, and Scooby Doo store was closed again. Because of that side door being open I watched a few people walk through it thinking it was the ride entrance This was the thing @MickeyD was on about GL lockers are now fenced off And the supports for SE in the AA area are being repainted Also, all of the tags in the villains areas have been removed, and now just a pointless chain hangs. There was one staff member in the area at the Joker using a tag to activate the affect so people could have a turn. So sad to see it’s come to this, when most of the effects are pretty cool and fun. Hopefully a new system is integrated, such as (as suggested) just a button you push. But something needs to be done
  8. DW have finally made an offical announcement Opening this Winter https://www.dreamworld.com.au/things-to-do/trolls-village
  9. Even though it’s sad to hear these comments, I agree with everything you say. VRTP biggest let down is there staff, and that definitely isn’t good. As mentioned there are some things that need improving, but when the worst thing that needs fixing is the staffs attitude and behaviour, that’s saying something. A lot don’t seem to care, don’t greet, rather not be there (and probably the only reason they are is because of the good pay rates). Staff need to be let go, refrained, or have an attitude change, because they places are for fun and happiness and most of them don’t offer it. I’ve worked in retail and know how difficult it can be to deal with some customers, and you can’t always be happy or positive, but within the theme park environment, I feel that staff should at least put a little bit more effort in, like mentioned, a simple welcome to MW is enough to start the day.
  10. I don’t ever remember this theming being in the queue before, but maybe these are older photos from when it was originally opening. I’m sure someon in berthe can confirm that. But if it is new, good to see something is happening.
  11. Generally, unless the rain is really heavy, rides will operate. The only ride that doesn’t operate during any form of rain is Superman Escape, but as that is currently down for maintenance, you won’t have any issues there. Queues will very likely be low because of the forecast and school holidays have or are ending. If there is heavy rain, there are a few options to take for indoor rides, shows, etc. So I personally think you should just go
  12. I think that if they really wanted to create an immersive Trolls experience, they should've used the under utilised Kevin hill shed and created something really awesome
  13. The flood lights over the driving range are now turned on
  14. Not permanently, just closes on some off peak days.
  15. DW were advertising the next 4 Park After Dark events for the year on their website, one being at the end of this month. But now the info has completely been removed and tickets can no longer be purchased.
  16. WWW now has winter trading hours of 11am to 4pm
  17. Midway through being the lift hill and the brake run. Because I’ve been on this ride and know there isn’t anywhere the train stops midway
  18. Over the past couple of years the park hasn’t really rained any attractions. Generally parks attraction count goes up, but for SW it went down and remained down. All these attractions have shut, but no or just a minor replacement. I think SW is a nice park, but definitely isn’t a full day park anymore and doesn’t appeal to a large enough group of people anymore
  19. It hasn't been mentioned, and has only just been updated in the last couple of hours. Great to see pretty much all the imagery has been updated, and the new park map style has been added too.
  20. Sorry thought I’d included it in the post. WnW GC https://wetnwild.com.au/plan-your-day/opening-hours.aspx
  21. The Operating hours for winter have slightly changed from previous years. From tomorrow, 3:30pm closing on weekdays and 4pm on weekends
