I did a quick visit to the park yge other and could see staff being trained and testing, so I definitely think it will be reopening this Saturday

I never actually went into the DW Cinema, so would people say it is roughly the same average size as any normal cinema?

It used to be called The Lair, but when they finished the Tiger Island refurbishment they changed the name

Okay, so can someone explain why the Hollywood House got its name? And what the house on top of TRR was for?

That house on that island I believe was demolished years ago. This house in that photo is on the hill above the TRR resovoir.

@T-bone No it hasn’t, it was still there two weeks ago.

Giant Drop has also reopened and is currently operating the western side.

Pretty much every single report made by the news about these stoppages occur because someone from the public films it and sends it in. Because everyone has a camera on them now, people can easily capture this tiff because they think it’s bad and shouldn’t happen. And that’s why it’s the news so much more.

Awesome photos @Glubbo thanks for sharing. Looking at these photos, I just can't believe how much the park has changed and I look forward to seeing the photos you have from MW. Definitely one of the biggest things I miss from this period was the Vintage Cars old location. They were just so much more awesome and popular in that location.

The western side of the Giant Drop has been in testing the last couple of days and is currently sitting at the top of the tower, so it seems that they have resolved the issue they were having with the cables.

Just driven past the ride, and as usual the track was all lit up, but tonight rather than just the usual single light shining, it was switching between all 4 colours about every 0.5 seconds.

I wonder if they’ve even gone to the efforts to replace or improve the theming in the queue line

@Rabbit2014 just so you are aware, the water was refilled at the start of the year and testing has been happening since then

The DW Cinema has now been removed from the park map, and this has been added too (No new info, but thought id share that they are advertising on the map)

Great to see that DW did decide to bring back the water jets, but I am still really hoping they figure out a way to reinstall the surfboards In regards to Vintage Cars, I’m glad they decided to remove the roofs and try to add some form of theming element, but I wish they hid the koala enclosure fencing, with some vegetation or banners, just something. And adding some vintage machinery throughout the area would be nice to see too

I love that they are really pushing the aboriginal traditions and I think that this music is awesome and adds to it all

I hope so to, especially because of the Commonwealth Games. Surely there shouldn’t have any more reasons to keep pushing it back for the amount of testing they’ve been doing

That makes the Gold Rush area even more closed off than it already is

Glad to see they’ve put up propper construction walls, rather than the usual fencing with the DW banners. Can’t wait to see the transformation.

@Roachie dont think anyone really knows. The Jetstreams have been closed since about October, and about mid January, the Sidewinders closed too. Then about 2 weeks ago the shade sail was removed. But I havent seen any other work happen on it, and I drive past it nearly everyday. Maybe they are having issues with the waterpumps (That's just a guess, I've got no idea)
