  1. I think it was from testimony by either one of the operators, or a former operator. I recall reading it too.
  2. Superman belts seem to be the same overall length, but the mounting point must be different compared to the seat base front or rear row. I have more adjustment left in the front row compared to the back in each carriage.
  3. How did you go with Green Lantern? My wife just made it on that last time, but failed Hypercoaster. Hypercoaster is dependent on your belly, backside & hips. The harness goes around your middle in a C like shaped when viewed from above, and the seat is shaped in similar style but in the reverse to have them overlap. As Brad said, try the test seat. I found it is a little conservative based on my shape, I just fail on the test seat but have no issue on the actual ride. If you can't get a green light, hop off, pull the seat down and measure the gap on the side using someone's hand to judge where it goes green. Then hop back in and see how far off you are. Try a few different options, wiggling back as much as possible. If you pass that step, enjoy the queue and the looks on the faces of the passengers on the returning train. Once you are on, ultimately the hydraulics need to hold the harness down. Don't connect the belt, the staff will do it if you can't reach it. If it won't stay down by itself without the belt, you can't ride. They are really polite about it if it won't lock.
  4. That's more an issue with management I would have thought! 😁 Being serious though, it doesn't take months to replace existing rail and sleepers.
  5. Also, being so far from the East Coast events, if you can get the first year or two to be successful, people will soon adapt to the change.
  6. That takes "Spin and Spew" to a whole new level! 🤮
  7. A friend who is in the demolition business was quoting to remove whatever slide this is today.
  8. Passing Time on Facebook does these around Brisbane. John goes and takes the pictures himself, trying his best to get the exact same angles.
  9. @T-bone sink the tractor in the river 😅 I don't think you'll see the Perry heading back, but there are plenty of suitable diesel options. Cane loco's are near indestructible, and can form part of the Australiana part of the park. The grade and curve would be no challenge.
  10. There's 100+ year old rail in place at many heritage railways. If maintained (key word) it shouldn't wear out in 20 years.
  11. Nah, it "cost too much to maintain" remember 😋
  12. So dreamworld are still at it. The public facing representatives are kept in the dark and cop the abuse, while those in the ivory tower have no idea what it's really like in the park.
  13. Bitzer is the poor, long suffering dogs name. Thanks for the review, something my family would enjoy (big Aardman fans)
  14. I don't think @Www worker 3.0 has ever led us too far astray in the past, I believe that they've ridden it. As to the soft opening, they've got you there. But things get delayed too.
  15. DC Rivals single rider seems to be really quiet early in the day. But it seems that once people have had a ride, the couples/groups with the "I'm never riding that again" guests split up and the single rider line grows. From my limited observations at least.
  16. From memory Singapore looks better than that? I hate motion syms, got off that about to be sick and looked pale. Wanted to go straight back on it anyway!
  17. The we know more than the bureau with their millions of dollars of equipment and decades of training, cause we subscribe to a few webpages. HSC go very quiet when they get it wrong. I only follow for the photos. The OP was a bit general with their post tho, seemed to be questioning it themselves and seeking further information.
  18. It's so vague and poorly written, it's clearly BS
