  1. Read this earlier today and forgot to post it. There is some merit to their rationale and thinking re:zoning. And yeah, and residents can't really make too much noise regarding height given what's next door (not that there are any residents directly around the site). My only concern from a community standpoint would be the primary school literally across the road, and how the noise and associated dirt/dust from such a large project may impact kids
  2. Reduced theming? Non-illuminated axes hardly add up to reduced theming..
  3. I think it's fairly safe to say that Reanimated's picture/map is pretty accurate.. drove past this afternoon and everything from Entertainment Rd to the offices in front of the studios is now completely cleared
  4. How do you know the driving habits of forum members? Also depends on the deceleration & reaction time. I can be travelling safely 30m behind you but if you slam your brakes on at 100km/h unless I have fighter pilot-esque reflexes I'm gonna hit you.
  5. It may have dropped but they are still tracking much higher than they were just 4 weeks ago
  6. Nine Morning News running live crosses to a reporter outside Movieworld with the breaking news that the ride won't be open today, and shares took a hit yesterday but have recovered. And an interview with someone who was on the ride that went something like this "well I was, like, a bit scared as i didn't know what, like, was going on, and it was, like, so hot, so they brought up a box of, like, water. And, like, I don't like if I'll ride on it again for like a while, well until, like, they make sure it's like safe".
  7. Very keen, remember so good crash outs at Cables on a couple of school excursions, and a friend copping a tow bar to the face.. for those interested, the land just to the left and above the green marker in Alex's photo was used as a movie set for Thor 3 at the end of last year. Was home to the 'junkyard' which apparently plays a pivotal location in the film
  8. Nope - it's like all the local community pages on Facebook with posts like "is Coles open today?" And "what time does Kmart close?". Annoying x 1,000,000
  9. So far the best post I've seen on social media about this was: "well that explains why i keep seeing a helicopter flying over my house with a ladder hanging off it"
  10. About 10mins would be my estimate, could be a little longer but well worth the trip!
  11. i dIDNT fIND iT tOO bE aNY lONGER jUST mORE fIRE eLEMENTS cOMPARED tOO lAST wEEK.
  12. Same difference. I've known plenty of people who choose to work in cleaning industries due to work/life balance, availability needs, enjoyment of the role, or because they have investing interests in the business. That doesn't make them any less of a person in a societal, or any other, structure. Regardless of your employment standing, CEO or cleaner of the CEO's toilet, everyone is human, has the same rights.
  13. My advice for you as a "tired 13 year old" is not to judge a book by its cover, or the worth of a person by their job title.
  14. 1. When you say "higher ranking" who are you referring too? Park management? Ride or F&B supervisors?? 2. Why is a cleaner a "low ranking" employee? What rank does a ride attendant or F&B worker hold in comparison? Why are they not the same? 3. Are you trying to allude that because she was a cleaner she would somehow be less sensitive to confidential info?
  15. Good point... guess my benefit of the doubt sensitivity is somewhat lessened by the amount of rubbish troll posts we've copped around here of late...
  16. Wonder which headline the GCB would run with.. "Public endangered by harness that doesn't undo" "Dreamworld trap riders in order to keep people in the park" "Motorcoaster disaster, Mick Doohan refuses to comment" On another note, did our second night/Fire Machine visit tonight. Park noticeably busier than a week ago when we first went. Also appears that my first viewing of Fire Machine may have been missing some Fire elements or their was a technical issue, as tonight's had a lot more fire! Haha glad we went for a second look as would never have known
  17. Knows that the track is coming, but not if foundations are completed. Seems like the most uninformed informed person on here...
  18. Drove past on the way home from work at 6:15 tonight and I'd say if the carpark was around 75% full
  19. Whilst an entire revamp/retheme is probably what is best for the area, I'm not sure if Ardent/ME's accountants will agree...
  20. Are we still talking about Carnivale here?
  21. Ain't that the truth, I thought it may have been an early design Just to get it up when they first put the website up, and had hoped they'd add detail afterwards but has never happened..
  22. The internal one is for close quarters and underwater filming, the outdoor tank is purpose built to recreate waves/wind/natural forces which the inside one isn't set up to do
  23. But a proper camera is much less likely to internally combust in your pocket...
