In previous years the tour has been after the show has finished, so you can actually go in the house. I dont see the point of touring the stage area and seeing a camera run on tv. What's the point?? Why would anyone pay for that?
-
havent heard anything contacted MW last week and was told info would be on facebook in the coming weeks

As i said, i cant say it with undebatable certainty. When i was in the backyard after a previous series when you could walk thru, i was looking out for the tower and couldnt see it. Did i step on every inch of space and try and see it - well no, but it certainly wasn't apparent that you could see it. I'd hazard a guess that if you can see it, it may be a glimmer of the top of the tower. I dont think you would be able to see housemates and them see you on the GD - you're removed from society and not supposed to be able to see anyone - that's the premise of the show. I remember when DW was originally chosen there were some concerns that housemates would be able to hear the general public due to the closeness to the theme park - which was proven to be true - but it concerned producers given the 'ideal' situation being that the house is totally isolated from the rest of the world.

No why?

Well clearly u are not looking at the right place. The new house is in the exact same location as the previous house. There is no debating that, it's fact. Not 100% certain but I'd also challenge that you could see housemates in the backyard. There is no line of sight from the backyard to Giant Drop due to the raised walls around the complex
-
U clearly did not know where the house originally was. God knows where u were looking

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013

Thanks for the lesson on climate - i'm well aware of when summer is. GCB usually have massive holes in their reporting, so it is probably not correct anyway, but name me a time when a major attraction has opened in late January or February??? All major openings occur during school holidays, so if it is isn't late december/new years it wont be til the Easter school holidays. Given it's a water coaster though, i'm assuming they will push for Late Dec/Early Jan to maximise summer crowds -

The GCB article about WNW's new slide mentions that the secret SW ride will be opening this summer. Guess we'll be seeing it really come together quite quickly in the coming months -
The scrub slide...Terrible name. I like your rationale but sounds like something in the local park at Nerang

Drove past ME yesterday and the Batman logo/signage has disappeared from the top of Space Shot. Anyone have any ideas why? surely not a re-theme?? Though given Batman has nothing to do with Space if probably could be better themed/named

Didn't think dodgems would go Was there 2wks ago and it was business as usual with only the shop closed & those signs were on the shop front then. Say it will just be a Dreamworks store or a something similar.

Has there been confirmation the dodgems are going??

Actually it doesn't say that at all. What it does clearly show is that there is a 6 month approval for demolition works to take place at the location. Demolition needs to be completed by 14/12/12. Given entire buildings can be gutted and demolished within a few months, i dont think Bermuda will take anywhere near that long. You will find that all building/demolition approvals are for a set time frame, be it 6/12/24 months depending on the project. It is quite feasible that demo could be completed by September/October, giving a 6 month lead in time for construction of a new ride for a Easter opening 2013. -
The current Mayor of the Gold Coast has returned from a trip to Las Vegas and says we need 5 casino's on the Gold Coast... don't think it will ever happen
-
No I am not getting them confused as well. She specifically spoke of a casino within SeaWorlds grounds and attached to SW resort
-
the local member for Southport was on the radio the other day, and had a few interesting tid-bits to add 1. She recently had delegates over from Dubai, who commented that half of SW was closed, and there were less attractions than when they were visiting 2 years ago 2. That there are discussions occurring with developers and SW about the possibility of building a casino 'within' the current grounds of SeaWorld - that will further attract the Asian tourists to the park/area/region.
