  1. swoooosshh goes the air as it passes over your head.... oh...and what part of the TOT queue is educational?? the exposed wires? or the fake turbine? or the "i waz ere" etched into every available spot on the wall
  2. I reckon! Who would wanna learn shit!! What a waste of time! I heard DW is building a giga-coaster but the queue is gonna be filled with info about tiger conservation - f**k that! Im boycotting! Who's with me??
  3. Further proof you shouldn't post on a Saturday night after drinking all afternoon.... Fixed!
  4. Yeah just realised that, anyway u get the gist - there is plenty of room
  5. Wild west falls?? LTRR is most certainly closed for good.
  6. Didn't think dodgems would go Was there 2wks ago and it was business as usual with only the shop closed & those signs were on the shop front then. Say it will just be a Dreamworks store or a something similar.
  7. Has there been confirmation the dodgems are going??
  8. Actually it doesn't say that at all. What it does clearly show is that there is a 6 month approval for demolition works to take place at the location. Demolition needs to be completed by 14/12/12. Given entire buildings can be gutted and demolished within a few months, i dont think Bermuda will take anywhere near that long. You will find that all building/demolition approvals are for a set time frame, be it 6/12/24 months depending on the project. It is quite feasible that demo could be completed by September/October, giving a 6 month lead in time for construction of a new ride for a Easter opening 2013.
  9. The current Mayor of the Gold Coast has returned from a trip to Las Vegas and says we need 5 casino's on the Gold Coast... don't think it will ever happen
  10. No I am not getting them confused as well. She specifically spoke of a casino within SeaWorlds grounds and attached to SW resort
  11. the local member for Southport was on the radio the other day, and had a few interesting tid-bits to add 1. She recently had delegates over from Dubai, who commented that half of SW was closed, and there were less attractions than when they were visiting 2 years ago 2. That there are discussions occurring with developers and SW about the possibility of building a casino 'within' the current grounds of SeaWorld - that will further attract the Asian tourists to the park/area/region.
  12. wow! if that is not a post just for the sake of increasing your post count i don't know what is! While we are on the subject, i was going to go to Movieworld last weekend, but felt sick so didnt. Might go this weekend. Will let everyone know if it go or not later on.
  13. What makes you say that? 2000 sq metres does not mean 2km wide by 2km long My house is on 480 sq metres of land - I sure as hell don't fit 4 football fields in there
  14. I think he is.... The frontage (existing) is about 40m I'd estimate. Including the pre-show and simulators rooms you could probably estimate about 50m from front to back. That's 2000 m2 - so he is probably just about right
  15. Announced today kids world passes are only $59 til June 30 2013 Bargain
  16. 1 - no idea but i would hazard a guess you would have to be 18+ for legal restrictions but could be wrong 2 - nope 3 - as you are going in winter, i doubt WWF is going to be on your itinerary so you cant just avoid that area of the park. Depending on what day of the week you are going - Get there 15 prior to opening time and i would do as follows: 1 - GL 2 - BWSS 3 - HSD 4 - AA: ST 5 - Lunch 6 - Scooby - the afternoon session of HSD will absorb a lot of the families so should be your quickest time to get on 7 - S:E - head straight there after Scooby and should still be minimal line - otherwise wait for the parade time to absorb some more people Should have you done by 3pm with a couple hours left for re-rides/Ice Age 4D etc 4 - Take it and hire a locker for $7 for the day, take it to HSD and any of the roving entertainment you want to record, then lock it up. 5 - check the thread about MW entertainment - there is a lot more roving stuff than i was aware of 6 - yes and no. Same ride layout, new carriages, queue and ride theme, and overall a different experience. Well worth a ride - the new trains IMO are a vast improvement
  17. Whilst not attesting to having been on many oversea's woodies, i still rate Bush Beast way up there in my fav coasters Probably because i grew up at Wonderland with the Beastie being my first ever coaster, followed by Bush Beast
  18. who the hell are the Janoskians??? never heard of them until MW posted on FB that werent allowed to camp out at the park overnight waiting for them... WTF??
  19. the fact is all those roving performers, the mazes and the staffing for those, not to mention extra shows, staff etc - cost a lot of money. I'd have no drama with my $89.99 renewal not including HFN or White Xmas because i can see where that $30 or $40 is being spent - on a one off amazing night event.
  20. there is a better chance of a flying pig exhibit than DW getting a Kingda Ka replica. Also no chance in hell DW would be able to afford the Star Wars licence for an ongoing ride IMO.
