  1. The family boomerang racer also exists at Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen. You could overlay it similarly, with an idea of the positioning based on the concept artwork.
  2. This topic was one of the items for approval during Ardent's AGM yesterday. Resolution 4 – Approve the Change of Company Name Background In accordance with section 157(1) of the Corporations Act, a Company wishing to change its name requires the approval by special resolution of its shareholders to adopt the new name. It is proposed that shareholders approve the change of the Company name from “Ardent Leisure Group Limited” to “Coast Entertainment Holdings Limited” and amend the Constitution accordingly to reflect the name change in accordance with section 136(2) of the Corporations Act. Shareholders will recall that, following the disposal of the Group’s health club business in 2016, the Company sought shareholders’ approval to change the Company name to Main Event Entertainment Group Limited to better reflect its focus on that US based business at the time. Shareholders voted unanimously in favour of the name change at the 2016 AGM however, due to circumstances existing at that time and following, the Company chose not to implement the name change. Since late 2016 the Group has disposed of its Australian bowling and entertainment business, undertaken a destapling and corporate restructure and last year disposed of the US Main Event Entertainment business. With the Group’s focus now firmly on its Australian Theme Parks and Attractions businesses, the Board and management believe that it is timely to now implement a name change at the holding company level. If approved by shareholders, the change of name will take effect when the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) amends the Company’s registration with the new name. The Company has reserved the new name with ASIC. The Company has also requested that the ASX ticker code be changed from “ALG” to “CEH” after the change of name is effective. This new ticker code “CEH” has been reserved by the Company. Recommendation The Directors unanimously recommend that Shareholders vote in favour of Resolution 4 to approve the change of Company name and amend the Constitution to reflect the name change.
  3. Very interesting that you will have a steel coaster that is originally Intamin as the OEM and designer of the attraction, and now you have a completely new OEM with Zamperla coming in to make enhancements and modifications to an attraction that's not their design. Ultimately Zamperla would have to be accepting the attraction in its entirety to be their design moving forward from an ownership of design risk perspective.
  4. Pretty certain the space will occupy a new building with some sort of a retail opportunity.
  5. Wiz Kid is simply the internal project name, used well before the project was formally announced.
  6. I have also heard that Luna Park Melbourne has a new CEO, an ex Village Roadshow Theme Parks senior manager. Could this mean some growth in that park similar to what has happened in Sydney?
  7. I believe there has been talks of returning to 6 car operation now that the evacuation will be safer and faster for the operations team to navigate, while the attraction only currently operates with a maximum of 4 cars.
  8. Superman Escape building blast effect has been reinstated!
  9. Certainly is great to see some new comm's around the closure piece. I would like to add however, WWF Mountain is defiantly overdue for a good clean and repaint. Seems like Rivals is about to get some repaint TLC. There has been a boom operator on a couple of occasions this week, what looks like preparing the track section closest to Topgolf it seems. Hopefully WWF is on the radar also!
  10. Superman returned with the misting effect reinstated, new lighting effect at the water dump scene and the crash scene has enhanced lighting effects.
  11. Its my understanding that a new iteration of the effect has been instated for the building blasts in preparation for the attractions reopening!
  12. Loving the new closure signs! Much more fitting than the previous character cutouts that didn't always align with the attractions from a theme prospective.
  13. To clarify the confusion in minimum required positions: WWF: - Ride Supervisor - Load 1 - Load 2 - Unload - First Turntable - Final Lift booth - Monitor Observer Scooby Doo: - Ride Supervisor - Entry - Sorter - Load - Unload - Lift Booth - High Zone This would likely be why these attractions are closing and/or yo-yo-ing with closures as they are highly staffed from a minimum requirement to operate. Not to mention each of these would likely need 2-3 same skilled employees to cover break entitlements. The skill of an operator is probably the greatest contributing factor here, VRTP is known for having a rather ridged progressive structure when it comes to attraction skill and training. This was something that was highlighted as a positive benchmark for the industry here in Australia after the inquest...
  14. The complexity of the attractions (from a training prospective) could also see this very similar situation impacting the cast member skill for some of the more complex attractions also. Given the current state of the coasts hospitality industry Im sure its not an unreasonable assumption to consider that the parks are feeling the same employment pressures.
  15. To be honest I don't think the alignment of closures is overly bad for 2022. When you factor in the School Holiday periods, Fright Nights (Thrill ride dependent for capacity) and White Christmas, there isn't much time left in the year to achieve these shutdowns. The mix also isn't the worse, previously they have had Superman and Rivals align together which isn't ideal from a guest experience perspective. The parks are also in quite a critical landscape now when it comes to R&M and design registration for attractions, not quite like the old days...
  16. Here is some updated pictures of the expansion! Its crazy to now understand the size of H2Oasis, this will end up being a welcomed addition and will provide so much relief to Wet'n'Wild Junior in summer and on busier days.
  17. I believe the reference is against Shoot the Rapids which closed in 2013 after a mechanical failure of a lift hill causing a boat not to engage with the anti-rollback system, evidently causing the boat to descend the lift backwards and tip on its side/upside down.
  18. Wild West Falls is defiantly getting a brand new fleet of boats from White Water with each guest having their own personal lapbar. Similar intent to Road Runner however differing in design. From my understanding this will mean the station is being upgraded to a progressive station with multiple blocks (Waiting, Unload, Load).
  19. The schedule and the TikTok defiantly have no correlation. Based on the post above by @themagician I believe it simply got moved back to ensure it didn't fall during school holidays.
  20. The extension just got confirmed through email too! What a great decision to extend the offering!
