  1. I understand your sentiment, but Piss Weak World was part of The Late Show.
  2. My apologies. I completely mistook your post as a comment made to you by a rideop at the park.
  3. Suggest you redact their name to protect them, Janine. Quite likely DW are reading this thread.
  4. It's opening weekend, and every second person would be making video/photos to share on social media. Pretty sure the staff are okay with this. All good.
  5. Thanks for the video, but a suggestion: your panning is a bit too fast. I had to pause occasionally just to see what you were getting a shot of.
  6. The rides in the background are your clue. When you enter the kids area, turn right.
  7. Looks like a menu you'd need a few visits to sample much of. I look forward to trying those sliders and burgers. Pricey but that's to be expected. No ciders on any of the drinks pages? I know Top Golf are an American brand, but come on. 'Fountain' is a water display (and sometimes garden).
  8. Good incentive for all the passholders whose pass expires Jun30 to renew. ...can we rename the park DC World yet?
  9. Visited today, and next to the castle I asked a staff member where a nearby water dispenser/bubbler was. Reply was that "there was one near Shark Bay, but it's gone.." So, there's no longer any water source apart from the restroom taps? Park map shows no other dispenser? Over at MW there's 4...
  10. Back to the Future re-theme confirmed. 🤣
  11. - Love @AlexB's idea of coloured Burger buns with different fillings for DC characters. - Yatala pies? Any way that could be brought in, or would that brand/food suit Dreamworld better? - I pretty much only eat from the Village Bean. Mainly because I hate postmix softdrink, so usually get Iced Coffee or Frappe. Staff there are usually pretty cheery. Yes yes, I'm sure the F&B staff probably rotate around the various shops.
  12. Another big ride in Wild West would keep crowds large enough to reopen the food outlet there. RMC/GCI would do fine. @Roachie - you mean like this? Branded bun and cookie? (Disneyland Paris, ‘13)
  13. At MW. Justice League Was a walk-on, despite it being fairly busy today. It was a let-down, however. - the laser guns are working only 1/2 the time. - no first door effects - no fog effect at boom gate - some audio missing or very quiet - timing out on some scenes (superman with star on face)
  14. I thought it was an upturned container boat?
  15. From the MIA "just the facts, no sensationalism and fear-mongering buzzwords" department we've been missing so much, ABC gets it right. Japanese roller coaster glitch.
  16. Went Sunday for the first time in 5 years. I'm up to speed on the Park's status because of this forum, and intentionally went that day due to a number of reasons (Post Games/Holidays, Pass expiry in a few months+Storm's impending downtime for VR removal), but was still longing for that third 'big' ride. This said, I visit the park with a view to Animals first, Rides second. If I don't see every show/feeding, the park is definitely not a day's trip. Last time I went, Gondolas and Sea Viper were still open, and Storm hadn't yet opened. To me, there's two decent coasters, so the next Teen/Adult focused ride shouldn't be a coaster. Things I liked: the undercover plaza. It looks great and the Monorail passing through it works well for the atmosphere.. The Tavern is in good shape, and the food there was good quality. @joz would be proud. Castaway Bay Reef looks nice, Nick Land was full of kids and looked fresh. The photo on entry thing reminded me to ask: did we reach a consensus here if that was souvenir selling or affinity protester stopping? Closed buildings stuck out like a sore thumb: Future Jellies at Monorail station, helicopter joyflight booth with rollerdoors down, and so on. The maze around VR's station needs to go asap, with the zigzag through the station and under the bridge to JR confusing me as I approached it from the Polar Bear exhibit. Rode Storm for the first time, was pretty fun! Having the ride entry pass over the splashdown was great. Got just went enough (3rd row), so dried out on JR after. A nice combo. Can I ask: Is VR and its' station/footprint going only, or is the Cinema and Castle? I noticed that the bridge no longer has the castle elements. If a new ride goes in there, will it be indoors so it won't affect the Rays/Polar Bears/Fairy Penguins? [Edit] By my comment above, I would like to see a new coaster in Viper/Corkscrew/Pirate Ship's footprint, but a non-coaster ride should be next. I'd certainly not complain if they go a 1-2 sucker punch of Coaster AND something else...
  17. ...'fund new attractions'. As in the ones already announced (cinema + dark ride behind it), or other attractions after those?
  18. HANG ON, AW has a hairy nose? *Looks up flights to Perth.*
  19. Fair point. Alright, two adults and 3 kids (as per the post I responded to) in VMax: $109.25 ...not far off one Annual Pass.
  20. That's less than two full-price visits a year. It's certainly cheap. I just priced a visit to Event Cinemas tonight to see Avengers in VMax (2 Adults, 2 Kids), with two 'popcorn & 2 drinks' combos. Price? $143.40 So, 4 cinema visits a year for a family = 4 annual passes at adult prices.
  21. Just noticed that the test cycles of SE didn't have Superman attached to the rear of the train until it opened. Wonder if that had any effect on weight going over the top hat?
  22. Looks like someone on r/brisbane needs WWF help. Batsignal lit.
  23. Gold Rush through BB cafe ,Blue Lagoon and the Auditoruim is a massive amount of land, enough for two themed areas. The lack of funds from Ardent for capex is blatantly obvious.
  24. How do the animals go with the fireworks? Dogs don't usually like them, and the Dingo enclosure is what, 150m from the tower?
