DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion
rappa replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That day time photo above is a pretty accurate representation on screen of the in person colour! Not sure about all this hold up talk, there is nothing to say anything is held up. Do we even know that the other couple hundred containers are even in the country? -

What's going on with Scooby Doo themeing?

I would dare say the light in question is probably on a circuit with many other lights so has to remain on. -

That light has always been there. Bugs me to hell too. Much like the lights over the wall at Storm's station. Oh how I hate seeing maintenance lights. -

Most likely just customs clearance, container sorting in the yard, etc. I don't believe there is anything sinister at play -

My posts can't be stupid because for no founded reason I feel like they aren't stupid so that's what they'll be. ...that's how this thread works isn't it -

Ha that's great. It literally looks a different colour in every shot. Good ole TPSN with quality photography skills as usual. As for @joz catching up on the last 6 pages... Did you want to stab yourself afterwards? -
OMG the damn track is Magenta, it's not pink, purple, grape, puce or any other bloody thing people want to come up with. I mean the conversation on what the theme is is already going around in circles with the same names but geeze a debate over what colour something is when it's sitting right there to see (i.e. is a fact) is mind numbing. Unless you you work in some form of design and have a professional understanding of colour please stop with your 2 cents for the sake of all our sanity.

Dunno, I just feel like Vegas, every part of it is its own special version of fkd up that really can't be compared to anywhere else on earth. Its every indulgence coupled with beyond excess bringing the absolute worst of mankinds existence together with the awesomeness of mankind at the same time
-
Geeze I dunno Gazza to say Vegas has a similar feel yo ANYWHERE I think is a bit of a stretch. How did you find big shot? I find it has a lot more kick and a freaky bit of 'air time' at the top where the gondola leaves the cable so to speak that no others have.

Ha that's a laugh. My here is also no other example in the city of a landowner operating 3 major theme parks and being the city's second largest employer. The fact that is a 'residential' zone is a joke in the first place given the theme park owns the land as was here before the residential area. So if anything the residents should be in a 'theme park' zone. We are of course talking about the same community (Gold Coast) that wants to be a world class tourist destination but votes down any sort of progress or development of such.

Movie World - union's "rowdy protest"

Yes that's still not right but given you've said you're done with the argument and the correct info is above I don't see any point pushing the point -
Movie World - union's "rowdy protest"
rappa replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
You're actually wrong GC Theme Parks. The unions actually have zero legal power whatsoever. The agreement is reached between the employer and the government. The government creates awards in consultation with the unions but it's the government that is the legally binding part of the equation. Your quote of "agreement between the employee and employer" is just that. In this case it's talking about an EBA. An EBA is established between the employer and the government and supersedes an award that may otherwise be in place. Again the unions will have input to influence the governments decision but they have no legal power. -

Wish I could comment here but wouldn't be wise. There is so much fake stuff thus union sprouts though. I bet village would love to have the 80 million profit they keep saying they do. Any of us that read the financial results know the real truth through. -

Yeah I remember riding it at night backwards during 5 after 5 -
See I just don't think the ride needs any of that. Just stupid gimmicks which pale in comparison to the mentalness that is the ride is its current form. You only have to look at two six flags parks adding just that as a major thrill recently. I'd say the issue with the fake out drop is that DW love to only run one side for extended periods so that's gonna upset someone one way or another.

There is still quite a significant force (linear) applied on launch and change of direction and all of this is without support of the next in the first (prior to free fall) phase.

I still recon it's an amazing flat right. Really powerful sensations and leaps and bounds above the variants that use a track for lifting the cars. -
