Given it's taller than 3 stories, i'd imagine those stats are for another ride, and they've simply put it on the wrong page.

Songcheng Legendary Kingdom in Nerang
Slick replied to Jamberoo Fan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
We got "it'll be a sweet new 600 million dollar theme park", we all went "nah, no way, it'll be mostly or all residential" and then who would've thought what happened next... -

Again, I don't buy any of the numbers that market cap is built on. The company's share price was the same as Ardent for years all the way up until roughly 2015, when they reported a 104% increase in attendance (with no mention of capex or how they got it, plus that kind of jump cripples theme parks, could you imagine if Movie World's crowds doubled?) and started talking about building in Australia. Then suddenly they're boasting that their signature park is outdoing Hong Kong Disneyland in attendance alone. For reference: This is their signature park, and it gets more attendance in a space not much bigger than Westfield Chermside than: I can keep going if you need more healthy reasons to be skeptical. -

Fair point, and valid consideration @Locke - I guess we're both technically right in that sense, there's valid reasons why they aren't on AECOM's data, but also, when you do indeed a little digger, there's only a lot of surface level to Songcheng, and not a lot of anything else. Happy to be proven wrong of course, but when you boast 30 theme parks and your name barely registers on Google, let alone RCDB, I think it's worth seeing something a little more solid before we give them any credit. -

Cheers for the update @Locke I'm super dubious about Songcheng - they have crazy inflated numbers on everything i.e. they say they're one of the world's biggest theme park operators with the most attendance etc. etc., but they don't even register on the AECOM list of top theme parks globally. For me, to be one of the global leaders, you need to own more than just one SLC to register. They strike me as an early 2000's Chinese Company modelled for the government's insistence so build big at any cost - they say they've got over 30 theme parks, but their website only shows six. They're super vapourware. -

For those who want to see it: Nice they're doing incremental updates like this, but for the love of allah that mic situation needs to be rectified. I'm pretty sure there's a Rode mic for an iPhone and a DJI Osmo floating around somewhere... #elevateyourproduction #wouldlovetoseemoreengagement #goodjobsofar #justwantthebestitsnothingpersonal -

I'm kind of surprised we don't already have one on the Gold Coast. -
Ah, there was no blindfolds on anything fun Giant Drop, Buzzsaw or Sidewinder.

Take it from someone as cynical and sarcastic as I am - occasionally life's better when you have a beer and be happy. Not everything sucks, mate.

Actually modern wooden roller-coasters are having a huge resurgence right now in the Western world. Also @Jdude95 you might not have seen me, but you may have seen that OurWorlds blogger dude. If he had a beer in his hand, it was definitely him. Also, can second the surveyors out and about assessing the grade between Giant Drop and the closed half of Gold Rush. Maybe this is finally the end of all those elevated walkways Sanderson Group put in when they opened Giant Drop? -

Shockwave added restraint

I wish we could go back to a time where we could trust guests (and to a greater extent, trust people to have common sense and not sue over anything and everything) to do the right thing and not put themselves in harm's way. Instead we get stuff like this because the park's so worried about minimising any factor of risk, no matter how small. I remember I grew up in an era where all you had to hold you in on the Chairlift at Dreamworld was a loosely fitted bar over your lap. Nowadays I feel like the cool kids would try and jump out of their chair into the river whilst doing 360 backflips and dabbing the whole way down for some YouTube fame. -
Or beer. Did you know you can get all of your daily vitamins from beer? So yeah, just drink beer. Problem solved.

No doubt folks here will appreciate a more in-depth look so i've attached a few shots. Giving the kids a chance to get up so close to the tigers is a big win, which will no doubt inspire more of the next generation to give more of a damn about conservation. If you want to see the same photos but from slightly different angles, you can checkout the rest over here. -
Beats me, I was sitting extreme left, but probably.

Just a quick update, Rivals is already as tall as Green Lantern. This will be an absolute monster. Can't wait to see the lift hill topped off. I've thrown in the best photos below, if you want some silly captions and less amazing shots you can go here.
