I thought there were only limited colours at the moment?

Good point (Subject to FRR) since you'll see it on the ride and even some basic timber cladding (like at Polar Bear Shores) would have blended in. Hopefully where you emerge from the station they do some rockwork to give some sense of exiting the leviathan lair or whatever it is That all said, it is a 'show building' so ive got no problem with the bits facing the outside of the park being plain white.

When you went through the steam on superman escape it definitely had a distinctive smell.

For what its worth I totally get why someone says Rivals/Superman is better (The powerful launch and airtime on Superman might be preferable to inversions) But I wouldn’t think that preferring those things makes Steel Taipan a bad ride. I did think it was odd to bring up the glasses rule in a topic about a new coaster.
-
So is Steel Taipan 💁♂️ I dunno, when I rode it I never had the impression it was underwhelming or unexciting (And that's having visited the same parks you have), and anecdotally guests love it.
-
First i heard about that. Do you have more to the story?
-
But didn't they get this because a production slot for a BF clone opened up so they could get the ride sooner. In my opinion its a great ride, the launch is average but the reverse spiral makes up for it because it's forceful. Rest of the layout is great, good mix of elements, in particular the corkscrews and the roll at the end. Even though DCR is still the best ride in Australia, this is a great multi looper and the best in that category here. As for the age of the layout...I mean Batman clones are from 1992 and they still slap. Anyway I'm not sure why the glasses things is relevant. If glasses were allowed on DCR but banned on ST, that would be a mark against ST. But since no rides let you have them here, it doesn't really factor into a comparison imo.
-
Cringe. Just wondering did DC Rivals or Superman allow glasses with a strap?
-
The new track doesn't seem to have a connection to the old maintenance shed... Any ideas how it will work? Also, here's the new paint job on the Buzzsaw fence in progress

What brand did you get quick out of interest @red dragin?

That's pretty much me. I bought a One pass Dec 2020 because Vortex had opened and Leviathan would be open by mid year. When my pass was about to expire I even queried if I could get at least a one day ticket to use at a later date in lieu of the ride not opening as advertised during the year the pass was valid (Like what Busch did for Iron Gwazi and Pantheon) But was told no. (That said it wasn't as bad because I got the new WnW slides and Vortex) So now I'm just going to wait until it's actually been testing and clearly going to open, and then buy a pass the day before.

I mean the same can be said of Scooby, big box with lighting music and smoke, and I’m detecting a common thread between Space Mountain and Rock n Roll Rebel at Aussie World. It def makes it better. But I don’t know how that applies to what they are building, its not the sort of coaster that lends itself to fitting neatly in a box.

Yeah I did I'm just waiting to hear what MW would do in a similar vein to.

What did the park do with it?

Thats right -
I dunno, I thought it was quite jarring having foghorn leghorn in front of a Wild West or Superman themed ride.

Im not sure what the confusion is? Building on the left is the station, building on the right is the maintenance shed. Has been this way for months. The rotating transfer track is pretty nifty though.
-
I'm old school, No more than 1 ride from any segment, and no more than 2 attractions closed at any given time.

https://www.aussieworld.com.au/special-offers So if you visit between the 1st of Feb and 6th of March you can win a chance to come back and ride Dingo Racer. So that implies an opening date probably from mid march onwards, or more likely the 1st of April for the start of the school holidays. People are on it at least in the pic, so presumably it has passed all the approvals.

Surprised for such a major coaster opening in a couple of months time that they haven't even released the rendered POV. -
