I've never read much about legoland, and I didn't realise merlin owned quite as many sites in Sydney! I hope that the a legoland rumours are true

I read in the elevator today, with the opening of Madam's last month, theres now 11 Merlin owned companies in Sydney alone.... And in other parts of the world, They own most of the well-known Euro parks....

Yes, this was 1999 we're talking about here... Tomb Raider didn't become a Paramount property till 2001, and I happen to KNOW it was the Indiana Jones ride as the ride plans were reported well in the local news. The three major rides were going to be Indiana Jones, A Star Trek Borg themed roller coaster, and a ride based on the James Bond property. possible this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UCA4u1dCCU Jurassic Park was potentially going to be built there as well(as the inevitable water ride), but that wasn't nessecerily locked in unlike the other three.

The Star Trek Themed "Borg " coaster was going to be The Big Dipper from Luna Park Sydney. They were heavily into negotiatiions at the time and it was a done deal if the park had gone ahead. Needless to say, once that avenue fell through, Dreamworld swooped and picked up a bargain for the price.
